Hacken Lee Hak Kun yesterday promoted his new song SINGLE DOG on the radio. The song would be his only Cantonese song this year because in the second half of the year he would focus on his Mandarin record.

Hacken also revealed that this year he originally would write and direct a film, but he fell behind schedule and had to postpone the production. He said that this film would be a more mature and a little humorous modern love story. He already had a synopsis but he also wanted to find people of different levels to form a team and write a script.

Would Hacken perform? He joked that he did not want to affect the box office. "I am not going to act, how well can I act? If I can act well I would have won Best Actor! (Who would you like to cast?) Nothing is set yet, and it won't be a very large investment. Although the boss (Albert Yeung Sau Sing) said infinite funding, my goal is not to lose money. My first time as a director may be my last time, I hope to have a second time!"

Louis Koo Tin Lok, Kara Wai Ying Hung, Johnnie To Kei Fung last night attended the Fresh Wave Awards 2018. Fresh out of the oven Hong Kong Film Award Best Actor Koo Tin Lok revealed that he will work with To Sir. To Sir joked that he worried that the Best Actor would raise his price, but praised Goo Jai for his great contribution to Hong Kong film and continuing support for young new directors.

Since winning the Hong Kong Film Award Best Actor, Goo Jai admitted that he never had the chance to celebrate because he had to work after the award. Speaking of Fresh Wave's continuing discovery of new directors, Goo Jai also hoped that new directors would participate more as the film industry really needed new blood. Sister Siu Hung also disagreed that the film industry had a generation disconnect because in recent years she has worked with new directors more. Their quality was not bad either. As long as new directors are willing to put in more effort they definitely would be able to achieve certain performance.

Goo Jai said that for now no new director has approached him about performing. Did his salary scare people off? He said, "A good movie isn't about salary. In addition I know new directors have limited budgets. If they have good scripts I would accommodate them." ..... (article cut to save bandwidth)

Hak Jai after reaching in Thailand immediately met with director Mark Wu Yiu Fai to discuss the character, emotions. He did not spare any effort on the preparation and was very professional. Hak Jai had scenes with the cute baby in the film. Before the shoot he kept holding the baby to cultivate a relationship and the baby nicely stared at Hak Jai. After work Hak Jai took advantage of his time and went to the night market for food. "Thai fish egg rice noodle is great! After that I returned to the hotel to rest right away. Director Derek Chiu Sung Kei, Fish Liew Chi Yu and Lo Chun Yip two days ago attended their film NO. 1 CHUNG YING STREET forum at the City University. Teaching at CU, Chiu Sung Kei said that the film had limited budget and could not use all actors. Luckily it received many students' assistance. Thus he deliberately arranged for a forum at CU to thank the students.

The film earlier at the Osaka Asian Film Festival received the "Most Excellent Film Grand Prize". Chiu Sung Kei revealed that later the film will compete at the Udine Far East Film Festival.

Was Chiu Sung Kei worried that due to the film's sensitive subject its release would be affected? He was not and said that the two advanced screenings had enthusiastic response. The tickets were all sold out in a day. He said, "Even the first row was sold out."

Liew Chi Yu and Siu Yeh were not worried that they would be labeled in their careers. Liew Chi Yu said that her friend Jennifer Yu Heung Yi also attended and paid for her own ticket. She joked that she was grabbing tickets like fans did with Dayo Wong Tze Wah's stand up comedy tickets.

Anthony Wong Chau Sun earlier was a guest presenter at the Hong Kong Film Award. On stage he mentioned, "Next year would there be any Hong Kong film?" His original intention was to cheer for Hong Kong film as Hong Kong film would still exist, but he was misunderstood. Jackie Chan once said, "There is no Hong Kong film, only Chinese film." Jackie Chan was present that night and thus some felt that Chau Sun's comment was aimed at Jackie Chan.

Two nights ago Chau Sun made a clarification on facebook. Because his comment was twisted around, as it spread some comments that he did not say were added in. He thus apologized to Jackie Chan. "Although I am not well versed, I wouldn't at a joyous yet serious event insult an elder......the script was already set a week before, I had no idea who would attend. Although I didn't kill Boren, Boren died because me. Here I need to apologize to Big Brother Jackie Chan......"

Many commented on Chau Sun's fb. Some disagreed with his apology. Chau Sun replied, "I disagree that being impolite is civilized!" Some asked if he was forced to apologized. Chau Sun also replied, "I think too much, I was well ..... (article cut to save bandwidth)

Speaking of Hong Kong Film Award Best Actress defeat, Stephy admitted that she felt lost but not disappointed. "The feeling is like after a big show, I am a little lost. Because I was nervous for several month and preparing for awhile. I wasn't disappointed that I didn't win. I won Best Dressed so I can answer to my sponsors!" Stephy said that she might look at ease in the dress, but it was actually worth HK$ 300,000, hand stitched and heavy. After half a night in her neck was all red.

Did her former boyfriend Alex Fong Lik Sun send a text to comfort her? Stephy said that she did not receive his text. Speaking of Siu Fong telling her to work hard, Stephy said, "I would, I have to maintain my original intention. I like to act, only because of that would I have motivation and goal. I would follow up again and again, I hope to run into another good script and good character!"

Making Money from a Grassroots Character! Kenneth Ma: 'Not Yet Enough to Buy a Taxi'

Artiste Kenneth Ma went to Mong Kok to attend an event to promote the use of electronic payment for transportation. He, who became a cool taxi driver to shoot the commercial, accepted this job due to the popularity of "The Exorcist's Meter". Kenneth laughingly said, "Taxi drivers also have to advance with the times. Back then, I also paid in cash. Sometimes only had a $1,000 bill, which was quite awkward, so using a credit card to pay is also very convenient. Mainland has also been using electronic payment for a long time! (Usually use a credit card?) Basically. Such as going to a parking lot".

Accepted many jobs due to the taxi driver role? Kenneth said, "Temporarily just a commercial. Would not have guessed that such a grassroots character would also be able to help me get a job. It is usually the cool doctor and lawyer type of roles in advertisements. Would not have guessed that a taxi driver would also be able to do so. (Made a lot?) Did not calculate it. Not yet enough to buy a taxi. A taxi licence is very expensive now!" Kenneth also said that the sequel of "Exorcist's" is still being conceptualized: "The producer and the scriptwriter are still conceptualizing. Since the feedback for the first installment was very good, do not want to carelessly make a second installment".

Artistes Ron Ng and Tavia Yeung went to Central to attend an event. Regarding the online feedback for the Shaw Brothers' web drama "Flying Tiger", which stars Ron, being not bad, he laughingly said that he is also chasing after it: "I myself watched 12 episodes. It really is enjoyable to watch. Because it was shot by a movie director, and many of the staff members are also movie people, it is a really good production". Tavia also expressed having supported Ron's performance: "However, I have not seen every episode. The entire work has a great movie feeling. In addition, I like watching fighting and killing! (Interests are very tomboyish?) Yes. It doesn't matter! (Thought about being a fighter girl?) I cannot do it! I am very lousy! Very easy to sprain myself. Okay for me to just watch!"

Regarding a netizen sorting out Ron's works and discovering that he had actually acted out a series of different cop roles, Ron laughingly said, "I did not notice, but I also asked [Virginia] Lok if I could watch my previous works, but she turned me down, telling me to go on the platform to watch because [we] need the views. ('Flying' has a lot of views?) When I checked a few days ago, it seemed to have gone up to 700 million. Also satisfied with the results! (Have a bonus?) No. Since you have asked me, will know what to do next time! (Film 'Flying' again?) Have also mentioned it, since it is such a good script, but I also have been preparing for a movie recently. (Acting as a cop again?) Don't have to this time! Filming a romance film this time".
