The Chrissie Chau Sau Na and Louis Cheung Kai Chung starred new film HOTEL SOUL GOOD (NUI WONG CHONG DOH JING) will open next month. Chau Sau Na played a strong businesswoman who runs into spiritual medium Cheung Kai Chung and becomes a happy rival. Chau Sau Na in the film is a hotel executive, a loner who is out of touch with the real world. She even has the gall to yell at her superior Michelle Loo (Lo Mik Suet) and order her around. Earlier they shot an office scene, Michelle was pale from being overworked, collapsed on the copier and thus created many scary effects. Chau Sau Na was scared half to death. For this scene, Michelle deliberately put on white make up to create a scary effect. however everyone thought she was more funny than scary. Chau Sau Na even praised how cute she looked and dragged Michelle to take a photo together.

Chau Sau Na for her role had to constantly yell at people loudly in the beginning, even with her superior Lo Mik Suet. She said, "In the film I am always yelling at people. I am a hotel executive. Although Michelle is my superior and the hotel heiress, she is useless. When she can't meet my standards, I would still yell at her. During the shoot my mood is terrible, I constantly have to be very upset. I have to stoke up a fire to yell at people. However with Michelle's white faced goddess it is very hard to yell, sometimes I ..... (article cut to save bandwidth)

The film GOLDEN JOB (WONG GUM HING DAI) yesterday opened in Hong Kong and today in the Mainland and Taiwan. Producer Eric Tsang Chi Wai, director Chin Ka Lok, actors Dior Cheng Yi Kin, Michael Tse Tin Wa and Jerry Lamb Hiu Fung yesterday visited five cinemas in Hong Kong to thank the audience for its support.

As for the Hong Kong opening day box office success and good audience response, Chin Ka Lok said that he remembered when he directed for the first time he did not dare to face the box office. This time he originally was not nervous, but Ekin kept asking him about it and made him very nervous -- like at the moment of the Hong Kong Film Award announcement. Ekin said, "Chan Siu Chun got so nervous that he didn't come. He didn't dare to face it!" Ka Lok said that he had to thank the most Tsang Chi Wai and Jackie Chan for their monetary and other unseen support. He also hoped that the five brothers would be good.

Would the director have to take them to dinner for a good box office performance? Ka Lok said that everyone has already set him up for dinner. Actually it was just respect from everyone. He said that Tin Wa should be the one paying for dinner. Tin Wa joked, "We eat together, the dishes are on the table. Please, dinner!" Ekin said that Tin Wa really took them to dinner, ultimately ..... (article cut to save bandwidth)

Jennifer Yu Heung Yi and Fish Liew Chi Yu two nights ago attended their new film DISTINCTION (FEI TUNG FAN HEUNG)'s charity premiere. Yu Heung Yi in the film played a student without any make up. She said that friends did not recognize her until after a few scenes. "My skin is great, I just seem to have no brows but I can accept that. At first I suggested to the director to perform without make up because students don't use make up. As an actor resemblence to the character is the most important, so when I heard people say that they couldn't recognize me I was pretty happy." Yu Heung Yi said that her appearance in the film probably would not be the type that secondary school guys would like. She was a very studious girl, with glasses slid down the nose, hunchback and double chin. "When you feel I am pretty in the film, then you probably really like me. However Yu Heung Yi's natural look is OK."

Liew Chi Yu played a special education student. During the audition the director thought that it would be best for her not to promote so no one would expect Liew Chi Yu in the film. She even attended special education classes, studying their essence and gesture. When she put on the school uniform even parents thought she was a new student. She felt that was a praise. She also chatted and played with other students and everyone were very friendly.

Gordon Lam Ka Tung yesterday appeared on a ViuTV program. He said that he just wrote two police stories about atonement. He was very happy that he has already found investors. After inspection production would begin. "The boss asked me to perform and I would try to, but I am afraid that producing and acting together would blind me very easily. I would have to get help."

The Performing Artist Guild next week will meet with Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet Ngor. As the guild vice president Ka Tung said, "President (Louis) Koo Tin Lok will attend. The Chief Executive wants to hear some suggestions on how to assist this industry. We have a lot of limitations on location shoots. It is very hard to hand in a proposal a year in advance in Hong Kong, unlike Hollywood where a project can take 5 years. In Hong Kong it would take a year and a half at most. I hope to get more assistance in this area and have a little more leniency."

Aaron Kwok Fu Sing in the film PROJECT GUTENBERG (MO SEUNG) played a painter who was creating counterfeit U.S. currency for the criminal mastermind Chow Yun Fat. Sing Sing revealed that the director and the screen writer Felix Chong Man Keung planned for ten years. Three years ago when this sensitive subject became more lenient he was able to find investors. Then Director Chong invited him to work together. "At the time I was jumping for joy, because since INFERNAL AFFAIRS (MO GAN DOH) I was already a little fan of his. I was able to receive his admiration and trust to play such a complicated character!"

Sing Sing in the past played a high ranking police officer in COLD WAR (HONG JN) to protect the people and face his family. His performance was rather singular. Even the veteran cop in PORT OF CALL (DAP HUET CHUM MUI) ran into a single case. Yet this time he and Fat Gor played two characters and Zhang Jingchu even played three roles. Sing Sing said, "Because the characters looked the same but had different identities, at first they would be a little confusing. I had to read the script six times to imagine the character in my mind. I had to do all my homework first and write a blueprint for myself. When I got to the set then the shoot went very smoothly!"

With complex characters, the actors had table reads before ..... (article cut to save bandwidth)

Hong Kong Film Award Best Actors Chow Yun Fat and Aaron Kwok Fu Sing starred in the film PROJECT GUTENBERG (MO SEUNG), which will open on October 4th.

Chow Yun Fat's character Painter gave his acting bug its fill. "In the film my character is Kwok Fu Sing's guardian and teacher; this is a character I have never played before. The character is very special, with a lot of potential during the performance. Director Chong Man Keung gave me a lot of freedom, this entire process was very pleasant." Despite years of performing, Fat Gor still felt nervous about every scene because of how special the character was.

Fat Gor has had his eye on Felix Chong Man Keung since his rise to fame as INFERNAL AFFAIRS (MO GAN DOH)'s screenwriter, even joked that he has "worshipped him for a long time now". Thus when he got the script he read the role of Painter in detail. "After reading the story, I thought that the audience would have different ideas. From this film they would evaluate themselves anew." Because Fat Gor and Sing Sing agreed to perform in PROJECT GUTENBERG, the film finally was able to confirm its production.

Aside from dramatic elements, the film also had its share of action scenes with Fat Gor. However Fa Gor guaranteed unique results. "In the 80s action films I have already performed stunts with guns, but this time the action would bring the audience a 'different Chow Yun Fat'." Fat Gor also hoped that PROJECT GUTENBERG would be able to bring the audience new excitement.

Athena Chu Yan earlier starred in new directors Derrick Tao Ting Chun and Mak Ho Bon directed thriller THE LINGERING (GOO JAT) with Louis Cheung Kai Chung. The film was shot on location in a hundred year old mansion in Hong Kong with its long history and eerie environment. The two directors thought that since this old home has been abandoned for a long time, it would be very suitable for this film. Even Chu Yan felt the chill as she did not dare to stay on the set alone.

Chu Yan originally was very happy about being able to shoot on an actual location, but once there the hundred year old home's emptiness along with the dark lighting, antique furniture and props she grew more and more afraid the longer she stayed. "My imagination went wild. In one scene I had to look into a pitch black room. Although the camera was right next to me, I felt something was in the room. Suddenly something moved in the room and I couldn't help but scream." Chu Yun stated that she would be lying if she said she was no scared. She did not dare to be alone in a room to wait for her shoot, as she had to find workers to keep her company. Despite her fear she still took the role, because the script and the character were rather attractive. She was reluctant to let them go.

Ah Chung worked with Chu Yan for the first time. He revealed that she was his senior as both graduated from the ..... (article cut to save bandwidth)

35 year old Mainland star Miki Shen Lijun fell to her death on the 10th. Known as "Shanghai's Top Beauty", she once performed in ALL'S WELL ENDS WELL 2009 with Louis Koo Tin Lok.

Shen Lijun's management company confirmed the news of her passing, while a "letter" went viral online. It claimed that Shen Lijun had terminal cervical cancer and her husband cheated on her.

A letter that Shen Lijun supposedly left for her children appeared online, "Tragic marriage is always similar, this was a triple incompatible marriage tragedy. The writing is a little messy, since a late stage cancer Mama wrote it while tolerating bloated belly pain, nausea and insomnia."

She spoke of the pain that she endured in her 8 years of marriage. Later she even learned that when she was with her firs child her husband already had a mistress. The mistress was relentless. "She set up an account to say that my husband brought her a car, citing that whatever I have she wants. If you want this man I will give him to you!" She also unfortunately had cancer, but her husband got worse and made her suffer even more.

"After the marriage, the only birthday he spent with me was after I got cancer, and his only birthday that was spent with me was February 22nd last year when I had the operation. He spent his birthdays with the ..... (article cut to save bandwidth)
