Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible 5 has shifted to a summer release.
The latest instalment of the spy movie franchise had been scheduled to open at Christmas, but will be moved up for a July 31 release in the US.
Paramount has also shifted the animated/live-action hybrid movie Monster Trucks to Mission: Impossible 5's prior Christmas Day slot.
Mission: Impossible 5 will reunite Cruise with his Jack Reacher director Christopher McQuarrie.
McQuarrie also wrote the Cruise movies Valkyrie and Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow.
Cruise will star opposite franchise veterans Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames, while Alec Baldwin has been cast as the head of the CIA.
Filming took place over the last six months in Austria, Morocco, Monaco and the UK.
