Anyone like cecilia here ?

Here's some of cecilia news........

Here's a latest news bout cecilia and some of her new pics...

Dispite running a fever the day before and having to miss out on a LOST IN TIME promotion event, leaving Sean Lau to deal with the press and fans himself,Ceci had to return to work on her new movie the next day.

The scene that they were working on yesterday was about Ceci going to look for a job. Wanting to play a trick on her, Louis and Sean asked her to do a variety of jobs, ranging from washing clothes to cleaning the bathroom. Not being able to finish the job with just two hands, the movie used the idea from THE MATRIX and transformed 20 other Ceci look-a-likes to help her out.

However, these "clones" only made a bigger mess for Ceci to clean up. They even made her life harder because they stole all her food.

In other news, Ceci will be heading to Las Vegas,Nevada once again this year for a chinese new year show

Another latest news i got !

Cecilia was running for a role up against Kelly Chen and Gigi Leung for an epic, –³‹É "Wu Ji". The movie is set in ancient China, and is directed by the famous Cheng Hai Ge (Chan-Hoi-Goh in canton). Cecilia's role is a princess which falls in love with someone unknown at this point, but would be played by a japanese actor. This movie has got a lot of attention because 15 million has been invested for this movie and is not filmed only for Asian countries - an unknown American film company has also invested in this movie.

The article mentions that both the representative from the American film company and Mr. Chan himself preferred the role to be portrayed by Cecilia. When Cecilia was favourably asked for an meeting/audition with the two, she refused to go because she was shooting a movie (which really means that she couldn't go); however, Cecilia insisted that the two of them can meet up with her in Beijing. Rumours have it that Mr. Chan called the managers of Gigi and Kelly and told them that they did not need to meet with him for an audition because he already wanted Cecilia to play the role all along.

This film is also pre-nominated for the 2005 Hong Shing film festival

(12/24/2003) China Star's new film FANTASIA (GWAI MA KONG SEUNG KUK) in order to make its Lunar New Year release in the past three weeks have been shooting night and day, finally the production has wrapped.

Lead actress Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi has quite a heavy role, with two acts almost everyday she is suffering from severe sleep deprivation. Originally she would work on Derek Yee Tung Sing's new film right away, but the film company has given her a few days to break and start the new production at the end of the month.
The story takes place in the 70s. Days ago for the wrap, they shot a scene in which the cast celebrated their wishes coming true inside a nightclub. Because the old style nightclubs have all but extinct, finding a location was rather difficult. Luckily the production team found an old restaurant with nostalgic decorations in Aberdeen that met its needs. In this scene Francis Ng Chun Yu's Villain Kin finally is overcome at the hands of Christy Chung Lai Tai's martial art master Dik Na. Louis Koo Tin's Hui Koon Kit and Cheung Pak Chi's Lam Ah Chun also have a happy ending. Chung Lai Tai after the completion of the film immediately returns to Canada to spend Christmas with her family.
Born in the 80s, Twins play the 70s group Chopstick Sisters. They thought the make up trend of thick brows and fake eyelashes to be very interesting.

Cecilia, along with the rest of the cast and crew of FANTASIA was out for a celebration party in HK. Cecilia's dress (by Pacino Wan) was especially chosen in order to relate to the time period (1960-70) of the movie.

Cecilia will be leaving HK in April to work on her new movie, and then return to HK by Sept. Nicholas will also be starring the movie, and when asked if Ceci would try to avoid him during filming, Ceci says:" No. Of course not. A professional actress should only focus on their movie, and not their co-stars. Besides, i don't see the script until March so I don't even know if I have any scenes with him."

Recently, Ceci has also begun to quit smoking. "Smoking is bad for your lungs and also gives you wrinkles. I'm trying to quit right now. Back then, I use to smoke 10 cigarettes a day. Now I'm down to 5. It's hard to quit everything all at once. When I see others smoke during work, I'm tempted to do it too."

A magazine recently reported that Ceci buys alot of expensive furniture for her pets. To this, Ceci says:" That magazine is crazy. They only want to pick on me. Everyone has furniture at home. My dogs and cats sleep and pee on my sofa, and despite the fact that I've tried to clean it everytime it happens, it's still dirty, so I've decided to change it. No one sleeps on one bed for their entire life. After a while, it's time to change it."

As for her case with her old manager, Ceci says that she and her lawyer are still talking about it with the other party

Pics from the opening lens ceremony of Derek Yee Tung-Sing's new movie ONE NIGHT IN MONGKOK (HAK SIK GING CHAT; lit. BLACK COP). The action drama tells the story of a Mainland immigrant (Wu) who gets framed for murder. Cheung plays the hooker-with-a-heart-of-gold who befriends him.

Cecilia is one of my favorite female HK stars.

Her acting is really good and she does have a pretty raspy-ish voice. However, her voice doesn't bother me and I find it kind of exotic and unique. Her singing is not as good though, but I still listen to it.

From looking at those pictures, Cecilia is ridiculously unhealthily thin. That bothers me the most. It's a good thing she's quitting smoking though. What she has to take up on is eating!

I heard that Cecilia's dad has links to or is a member of the triads. Is this true?

She's with Jordan Chan right now right?

She has a pretty face but I think she's too skinny and you wouldn't say she's only 23 years old. Had gone through so much..

**May contain spoilers**

(Shanghai Daily news)

The incredible popularity of `Sex and the City' has spawned a series of imitations, most recently Hong Kong's `Sex and the Beauties,' which opened last week.

But, as reporter Michelle Qiao finds out, the Hong Kong film is a pale wannabe of the lusty original When the HBO hit series ``Sex and the City'' bowed out on February 22, Shanghai fans didn't have long to mourn. On February 26, ``Sex and the Beauties,'' a Hong Kong film version of the series, opened.

There's no denying the similarities. Selina (played by Carina Lau) is a psychologist, a rare eligible single in fast-paced Hong Kong. She forms a Ladies' Club for single women, who often gather to talk about their loves and lives. Selina's psychology background and mature mind make her the unofficial love consultant to a group that includes a famous columnist, Guan Dexian (Athena Chu), and a bar owner, Ni Xian (Yoyo Mong). But despite her facility at dispensing love advice, her own experiences with men have made her fearful of taking the plunge herself.

At a banquet held by her mother, Selina runs into her first love, Ken (Kenny Bee) and gets acquainted with his daughter, Yuki (Cecilia Cheung) who has an explosive personality. Ken asks Selina to be Yuki's guardian, to treat her as a patient and to guide her back on the right road. Four beauties, with highly paid jobs, trendy clothes, bittersweet love stories who tell their tales against a backdrop of dazzling restaurants and bars -- every effort seems to be directed to imitate its American counterpart. ``Yes, I admit that this movie has influences from `Sex and the City.' I designed the four characters after the American series,'' says Wong Jing, the film's director, with apparently no irony intended. ``But the stories center on fashionable Hong Kong yuppies -- you could call it a Hong Kong version of `Sex and the City.' I'm confident that Chinese audiences will find it easier to relate to my movie.''

It might be easier to relate to -- but that doesn't make it a better show. Introducing the four women and telling their stories in 101 minutes feel rushed, not to mention confusing. Four women, five men, plus their parents and other assorted friends -- this is a film filled with so many characters and shallow, banal discussion. Part of what made ``Sex and the City'' such a hit was the introduction of a trivial, yet interesting, love topic each episode, topics that offered insight into sex and the single woman. ``Sex and the Beauties,'' however, leaves audiences with no idea what the characters are talking about -- and what Hong Kong's single 30-something women's feelings about love are. Instead, what we get is a hackneyed fairytale ending, with lovers all living happily-ever-after.

Clearly Wong, the Hong Kong director known for box-office hits like ``God of Gamblers'' series, is not good at describing the sensitive emotions of women. He showcases four women, their sexy dresses and pretty faces, but not their hearts and souls. They appear like cartoon images, instead of real, flesh and blood women. Chu, for example, is no Sarah Jessica Parker. Her short hair, exaggerated expression and unnatural postures made her come across like an uneducated Hong Kong woman rather than a renowned columnist. But it's interesting that Chu's proclaimed attitude to love shares some similarities with her onscreen self. The columnist she plays proclaims, ``I don't want marriage, or a 20-year-old son. Everything is up to me.'' The actress announces, ``I feel that it's my golden time now, and I don't lack money or opportunities. Marriage should appear at another stage of my life. See how free I am? Marriage is a burden, after which you can never only think of yourself.'' Chu admits that neither she nor Hong Kong is as open as the movie might have you believe. ``I'm open in the movie, someone who seeks exciting moments. But in reality, I'm very conservative,'' she reveals. ``Hong Kong people may seem liberal, but we have a conservative heart, reflected in our attitudes towards love, dress and attitude towards others. ``I love reading articles and novels about men and women,'' she adds. ``I especially like Japanese writer Junichi Watanabe, author of `Lost Paradise,' from which I came to understand more about men and became more tolerant of them.''

The women in this movie are all star beauties, considered dream lovers by many Chinese young men. But despite the feast of dazzling beauty, this is just not a sexy movie. ``I think it would be odd to turn the series into a Hong Kong movie,'' says Li Xiaojun, a producer and fan of the American series. ```Sex and the City' is a series that captures a particular place and culture, one that is very different from our own. Unlike Western countries, China is a reserved nation, and it's odd to talk about sex freely on the screen. Moreover, I think it would also be very difficult to compress the American series into an American movie -- you'd need a very skillful scriptwriter.'' Even worse, the China Film Bureau has censored some of the sex scenes and words, making the movie even odder. In the end, it is just a sex comedy, with the emphasis on the comedy.

As supporting actor Andy Hui says: ``It's just a comedy. I love this movie myself because I feel happy after watching it.'' Not to be left out of the ``Sex and the City'' sweepstakes, a Chinese mainland version of ``Sex and the City'' will finish shooting soon. Starring China's not-sexy-at-all pop singer Na Ying and actress Jiang Wenli, this 40-episode TV series covers the love stories of four Beijing women. It doesn't bode well. Can't we ask just let ``Sex and the City'' rest in peace? Apparently not. Who's Who?

Selina (Carina Lau) Selina is a psychological therapist, who her friends often turn to for love advice. But her own unhappy love experiences have made her fearful of marriage. Eventually, she does fall in love and marries a patient, a former head of a criminal syndicate. Sammantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) Scintillating Jones is a successful PR exec who embraces her uninhibited sexuality with a diverse group of lovers. Forget wedding dreams, Jones takes lust over love any night, and she's proud of it. * Guan Dexian (Athena Chu) Like Bradshaw, Guan is a successful writer for a sex column, who is both cynical and witty. She simultaneously falls in love with reviewer Da Ban (Hui Siu-Hung) and a handsome university student Stone (Edison Chen). Unfortunately, the two men are father and son. Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) As fodder for her column, the single and fabulous Bradshaw looks to both her own experiences and those of her best friends. Never shying away from difficult or delicate subjects, Bradshaw has covered everything from emotional dependence to sexual independence. * Ni Xian (Yoyo Mong) The owner of a bar, Ni has a quiet face that conceals a wild heart. She never stops to pursue excitement, from fast driving to parachute jumping. She also seeks fun by letting her pursuers taste the excitement. Finally a specialist from Chinese mainland, Da Dan (Lu Yi), seeks her heart by jumping from hotel's platform to a swimming pool. Charlotte York (Kris Davis) Well-bred art gallery manager York has a refreshingly optimistic outlook on love and romance. Her love ambition: to marry a wealthy, handsome social elite. * Yuki (Cecilia Cheung) The daughter of a wealthy man, Yuki appears incredibly ugly with straw-like hair, dirty teeth and toes poking out from worn socks. Her father invites Selina to educate her. After falling in love with her body guard, A Jin (Andy Hui), she miraculously turns into a beautiful woman. Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) Hobbes is a smart, self-assured partner in a law firm, who has struggled with her love life and abandoned the pursuit of love altogether. She doesn't open up easily, masking her vulnerability with cynicism and self-deprecating humor.

Following Edison's fight with two teenagers a few days ago, Ceci is now involved in another hassle, only this time, it's between two reporters and two unknown strangers.

Ceci returned to HK and was driving to attend a meeting at CHINASTAR's headquarters, when she noticed that reporters were following her. Wanting to get rid of them, she began circling around the Central district and ended up in Jordan. Her manager, Miss.Li, who was also in the car with her remembered a building that had two exits and told Ceci to wait in there while the reporters pass by. Ceci obligated and stopped her car, however, moments later, the two reporters, both badly bruised approached her car and demanded, "Did you do this?!?" Ceci, having no idea what was happening was terrified. The reporters continued and said,"Don't you leave, I've already called the police."

In order to prove her innocence, Ceci stayed behind and waited till the police came to give her testimony.

The two reporters were sent to Elizabeth Hospital, and when they came out, a totally different story came from them.

According to them, that morning they were following Ceci, and when Ceci saw them, she gave them the middle finger before driving off and telling them not to follow her. Of course, the reporters didn't listen. As they were following her, they watched as she picked up the phone and made a phone call, moments later, she went into a building located in Jordan. The two reporters got out of their car and followed. Suddenly, two men approached them from behind and began beating them for about 6 seconds. They then said; "I'll see if you dare to follow someone again.", before leaving. Another one of their colleages was in the car but did not film the attack.

The reporters also stated that Ceci did not stay and wait for the police, in fact, she left before the ambulance came.

Yesterday, Ceci's good friend Jordan Chan was in TVB studios rehearsing for an upcoming charity show. When he heard of the news, he says: " I don't know anything, but I do care for a friend. I'll ask someone from CHINASTAR about what happened." When asked if he thinks that Ceci had a part in this, he said: "No. Ceci's not that type of a girl. In the past, she might have been hot-tempered, but she's much better now."

Cecilia Cheung Pak-Chi, Jordan Chan Siu-Chun, Lau Ching-Wan, Louis Koo Tin-Lok, Twins, Michael Tse Tin-Wah, Patrick Tam Yiu-Man, Cheung Tat-Ming and Pinky Cheung Man-Chi were among those on hand the night before last as a banquet was held to celebrate the box office success of the Lunar New Year film FANTASIA. Cheung and rumoured boyfriend Jordan Chan Siu-Chun were the focus of attention as reporters looked for signs of affection between the two. While the couple talked and joked with each other off camera, when the cameras were on, they refused to pose with one another (left). Joking with reporters, Cheung said: "If you have the ability, you can try and Photoshop us together."

After reporters gave up on getting anything from the Chan-Cheung pairing, they focused on the continuing saga of Cheung and Nicholas Tse Ting-Fung. Both will begin work shortly on Chen Kaige's new film THE PROMISE (MO GIK). Asked if it is going to be awkward working with Tse on the same film, Cheung replied: "No, I'm a professional actress. I won't let unrelated private issues interfere with my acting."

When asked if she and Tse will have many scenes together, Cheung said: "I don't know. I've only read my part of the script. All I know that most of my scenes are with Hiroyuki Sanada and Jang Dong-Kun. I hope that I can learn some Japanese and some Korean from them."

In related news, Cheung and Daniel Wu (Ng Yin-Tso) continued to work on Derek Yee Tung-Sing's ONE NIGHT IN MONGKOK yesterday. As she was wearing her mini-skirt and fishnet stockings "prostitute's uniform", Cecilia Cheung clutched a hot-water bottle in between takes to ward off the cold winter wind.

Cecilia filmed a new set of photos for BONJOUR. During filming, the weather was very cold and wearing such little clothes, Ceci was freezing. QiQi was the stylist that day, choosing Ceci's clothes for her.

Following the assault of the reporters, Ceci had to immediately fly off to Beijing to try on costumes and then start filming for Chen Kaige's new film, Mo Gik. When Ceci arrived at Beijing, she was shocked to see so many reporters there waiting for her. In order to avoid the reporters, Ceci had deliberatly rode a car to "Shum Chun" China and then went to the airport to take a plane to Beijing, hoping that by making the longer trip, reporters won't follow her. Apparently, her plan did not work.

Ceci's younger brother, Ronny Cheng Ho Lung recently signed with a gym to become spokesperson. Reporters were on hand to visit on the day of the photoshoot. When asked about the reporter incident involving his sister Ceci, he said that he hasn't talked to her yet but will call her soon because she is now busy filming for her new movie. When asked does he feel tired for her, he says that there isn't anything he could do. "Reporters follow her everyday, no matter what happens. What can I do?"

In other news, EEG's newcommer,16 year old Isabella Leong has finally signed into EEG and stepped foot into the Entertainment industry. Isabella actually signed into EEG when she was 13 years old, but because of child labor laws, they were unable to put her to work because HK law forbids children under 16 to work after 11pm.
Isabella's company EEG music has openly admitted that she will be competing with Ceci;hoping to become the "better" Cecilia Cheung in HK

BEIJING, Mar.26 (Xinhuanet) -- Having long been the subject of tabloid headlines linking her to male singers such as Daniel Chan (Chen Xiaodong), Nicholas Tse(Xie Tingfeng) and Jordan Chan (Chen Xiaochun), Cecilia Cheung (Zhang Bozhi) this time catches the public attention for her talent rather than romantic life.
Cheung goes into the 2004 Hong Kong Film Awards as a triple nominee — two in the best acteress category for her performances in Lost in Time and Running on Karma, and one in the best original song category, with the theme from Lost in Time.

With only five years of acting behind her, Cheung displays her glittering acting talents in the roles which would have challenged many more experienced actresses.

Director Derek Yee (Er Dongsheng) likens Cheung to a student who can succeed in exams without studying. “What she has is inherent talent mixed with skills,” he says. “She can deliver the emotions very effectively.”

Yee, having directed Cheung in Lost in Time, can speak with some authority. In one of the pivotal scenes when Cheung learns of her fiance’s death, Cheung successfully expresses a string of emotional transformations in just a few seconds, which is usually backed up by years of performing experience. But Cheung could achieve it at 23.

Considering Hong Kong’s lackluster output last year, Cheung’s role in Lost in Time is a frontrunner for the awards. Lost in Time will probably stand Cheung in better stead than Johnnie To’s (Du Qifeng) Running on Karma, where she plays opposite Andy Lau.

Cheung’s strongest competition is expected to come from Carina Lau (Liu Jialing) who portrays as the wife of a band leader in Infernal Affairs 2. Other best actress nominees include Sandra Ng (Wu Junru) as Ah Kum, the prostitute with a heart of gold in Golden Chicken 2, and Karena Lam (Li Jiaxin) in Floating Landscape.

It’s no easy for a pretty woman to find a place in an industry obsessed by beauty. Cheung, although possessing the flawless features and sexy figure demanded of a leading lady, has undergone plenty of difficulties and drawbacks before coming into fame. And her eventful family life and romantic affairs also contribute to her molding of different characters.

Cheung was sent to Australia to study at the age of 14 when her parents divorced. At 17, she returned home. After she appeared in a television commercial for a soft drink, talent agents set their eyes on her.

In 1999, Cheung starred as a young nightclub hostess who won the heart of Stephen Chow’s (Zhou Xingchi) impoverished actor in King of Comedy. Despite being a supporting role, Cheung did her best. It was enough to garner her a nomination for best newcomer at the 1999 Hong Kong Film Awards.

But it was Jingle Ma’s (Ma Chucheng) tearjerker, Fly Me to Polaris, released in the same year, that forged Cheung’s career as a glittering A-list actress. Ma once said she was without a parallel for her age.

“Despite her age, she’s experienced a lot by being sent to study overseas at a young age, and she has a pretty complicated family situation. This background has been a great advantage,” said Ma.

After Fly Me to Polaris, she appeared in a lot of popular movies including Para Para Sakura, Cat and Mouse and The Lion Roars. She also starred opposite renowned South Korean actor Choi Min-sik (Cui Mingzhi) in the drama Failan.

Now Cheung is in Beijing working on Chen Kaige’s new movie, The Promise, which has garnered wide media attention and is expected to be a hit when it comes out.

Cecilia Cheung will be the most glamorous figure on the night of April 4 when she goes to the 2004 Hong Kong Film Awards armed with three nominations — two in the best acteress category and one in the best original song category.

Cecilia is very pretty.

does anyone know has she joined mhk???

nope, cecilia never joined missHK
she came into showbiz because a producer heard her singing in a karoke, and thought that she had the looks too

Daichi Harashima was in HK to attend the Golden Bauhinia Award. At the event, he attracted many attention from the other adults as many people went over to talk to him or offer him candy. When reporters asked him did he contact Cecilia, he said: "I don't have Pak Chi Jie Jie's phone number. My mom has it." The topic of Ceci's love life then came up. Not knowing of the controversy of Ceci's love life in HK, he innocently said:" Isn't Pak Chi Jie Jie's boyfriend Ting Fung?" He then drew a picture of a boat with passengers that included Nicholas Tse, Best actress winner Cecilia Cheung, Best Actor Simon Yam Tat Wah, and Best Supporting Actor Lam Suet.

Cecilia and Nicholas is currently in Beijing filming for Mo Gik. One of HK's Magazines had flown to Beijing in hope to take pictures of the filming.
According to them,in Beijing, Ceci and Nicholas' love sparks have one again been lighted again. During wire rehersals, both were seen to have eye-contact and made small talks.

After rehersals and lessons on the wires, Nicholas left the scene. 10 minutes later, Ceci left the scene also. However, because of the many reporters and traffic, both cars were soon located right next to each other and made their way back to the hotel along side each other.

Chen Kaige, the director of the movie also knows that Ceci and Nicholas will become the main focus of the film, therefore, deliberatly tries to arrange for both of them to have different scenes and scheldules. He also asks that Nicholas stay indoors for most of the time in order to avoid the reporters.

Nicholas' girlfriend Faye Wong was also in Beijing, however, she never met up with Nicholas. Instead, she hanged out with her friends and went to the bars everynight. This could be a symbol that Nicholas and Faye's love relationship has ended.

Back in HK, Nicholas' manager Mani Fok Man Hei explains; "In the entertainment business, no one is anyone's enemy. Ceci, Nicholas and Wong Faye are all just regular friends. The management company has not asked Nic to stay indoor to avoid the reporters. The director has not asked of such a thing from Nic too. However, Nic is a very quiet person. If everyone else goes out to eat dinner, he'd rather order take-out and stay at home or the hotel."

Ceci's manager,Miss.Li also explains; "Ceci and Nic are both part of the crew of a movie. If any sparks were to fly, it'd be the sparks on screen."

Cecilia's 24th birthday

another site with birthday pictures

Cecilia has recently been linked to a drug case involving another HK artiste by the name of Wu Hao Kang. He hails from the same record company as Nicholas Tse and was arrested recently for illegal possession of drugs. Cecilia was linked to this case as she had earlier been rumoured to be on good and close terms with Wu Hao Kang as they were once photographed having a meal together. CC's brother was also reported to be friendly with Wu Hao Kang. Wu had supposedly tried to woo CC but she had turned him down.

However, when contacted, CC's manager was quick to distance CC from Wu Hao Kang saying that they in fact, do not know each other very well. Her manager also claimed that CC has no time to date anyone as she is busy filming in China and any time she spends in HK is either spent with her family or water-skiing.

some old pictures of Jade Solid Gold Presentation 1999, Cecilia got 1st newcomer with Joey Yung.

Wow that wallpaper is really good, Cecilia looks very pretty.
Does anyone esle think that Cecilia lost weight, but only in her face? I was watching her old MVs and her face looks bigger. Do you guys think it was just baby fat?

Anyways, I just watched Lost in Time, and she was extremely good in it. She can really cry!! I guess that's why she won Best Actress for it. Her and Louis are like the perfect couple, even though he is like 10 years older than she is. I especially liked them in The Lion Roars.

i've noticed that lately she's shedding her "good girl"-rolls and takes on the parts that could "ruin" her image. Like just recently, she plays a hooker in One Night In Mongkok. She's trying to improve her acting skills for sure.

yepp she did win the award :)
i know ppl have been complaining about her screaming and stuff but in this movie, it fits in perfectly considering all the anger, indecision, and depression she's going through.

Cecilia Cheung Pak-Chi and Francis Ng Jun-Yu have been in Wuxi for the past two weeks working on Wilson Yip Wai-Shun's historical comedy FEI HUP SIU BAK LUNG (lit. FLYING HERO LITTLE WHITE DRAGON). Reprising the "Little White Dragon" character made popular by Petrina Fung Bo-Bo in a 1968 film, Cheung plays a martial arts hero who helps out a bumbling "blind hero" played by Francis Ng. As she must head to Beijing later this month to start work on Chen Kaige's new film THE PROMISE, Cheung is working twenty-hour days so that she can complete her scenes in time. Related images:

Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi yesterday competed in a charity waterskiing competition. Even without much practice she still came in fourth. She has changed her mind about her career again and will study singing with Teresa Caprio (To Lai Sa). "Right now my record label is still Universal. Although Chan Siu Bo is no longer there, the whole company has been great to me and very supportive of me. This time the record company and the film company have an agreement. During this period I will focus on singing so I have turned down six to seven movies."

After half a year in China for THE PROMISE (MO GIK), Pak Chi has become more at peace. Her first task is improving press relation. She said that she weclomes reporters to follow her and to ask her about gossips. As for love life, she expressed it is a blank. "The supposed reunion with me and (Nicholas Tse) Ting Fung is impossible. In this life we will be friends. This is the last time I am talking about it because it is very unfair to me."

Having spent most of her time in Mainland, China filming for her new movie THE PROMISE, Cecilia Cheung returned to HK yesterday and took part in two public events. The first was an outdoor water event with other stars such as Ella and Boy'z. At the event, she was able to show off her water ski skills. "I love water sports, but because I have a skin care contract under my belts, I'm not allowed to have a tan, therefore have cut down on outdoor sports." Later that night, she was at a party organized by her make-up artist Rick Chin.

As she is spending most of her time filming movies, does this mean that she's giving up on her singing career? "I'm actually going to be spending most of Sept and October in the recording studio so I hope to be able to have a new CD out by November, if not by early next year. Because of this new CD, I've already turned down 6-7 different scripts."

Earlier, Anita Mui's mother has announced that she will be having a charity dinner. When asked if Ceci will attend, she explains that at that time, she'll be filming in India so she won't be able to make it.

Despite the fact that she's been spending most of her time in China, negative press about Ceci still appears once in a while, the newest being that she won't live in any hotel that has less than 4 stars in Mainland. Ceci explains; " I really do hope that my relationship with the HK press will be better. Spending so much time in China has changed my temper a whole lot because for one scene, we could be waiting for up to 10 hours." What will happen if the press continue to follow you everywhere? " I don't mind. If you want to then follow me. I've already lost my interest in late night partying so there won't be much to write about"

Being in the happy mood that she was in yesterday, she didn't even mind talking about old flame Nicholas Tse. " I know that Nic and Faye have broken up but that dosen't mean that we are together. He and I are compatiable for dating." Is it because of the failure of the last relationship, therefore you guys don't want to try it again. "That's not the point. Me and Nic are good friends and always will be."

When doing a show in Mainland, China, a fan suddenly jumped on stage and hugged Ceci. Ceci immediately explained, saying that she was not harmed in any way." When I saw him jump on stage, I immediaetly wrapped my arms in front of myself to protect me from him. I don't believe the fan meant any harm. Besides, I have now hired 7 body guards. If anything like this happens again, they'll be there to protect me."

Cecilia Cheung can be claimed as the biggest star at the Golden Chicken Awards opening night. The president of this event pronounces that all songs must be sung 100% real, but Cecilia's performance that night shows that this policy doesn't come in use in her case.

Cecilia Cheung exerted a lot of effort in performancing three songs: "Star Wish", "Ready For Love", and "Forget Cannot Forget". "Star Wish" is her most anticipated song, emotional and mellow. "Forget Cannot Forget" is the theme song to "Lost in Time", which Cheung have managed just as well. However, the upbeat "Ready For Love" reveals that Cheung's voice has been "editted". The front row journalists observed that the movement of her lips and the voice don't match. Though Cheung immediately speaks to cover it up, people have become suspicious.

The reporters have said that all of the performers have attended the rehersals, except Cecilia who rushed in on the day of the show. So how will she do her best? Furthermore, singing is not Cheung's primary occupation, so she appears weak before "veteran" singers.

But Cheung was very happy at the show, her face brightened by a genuine smile instead of her old weird look. Cheung repeatedly sends her regards to the audience, following by her natural trademark "ha-ha" laugh.

Before she arrives at the show, she asks for a room change since the president of the event announced that all the performers will be staying at a boarding house, not a fancy hotel. Information reveals that Cecilia took instead a 10,000 Yen ($1207.48 USD per night)hotel. Judging from her performance at the show, Cheung seems satisfied.

The article summary is that after the show at the Golden Chicken Awards opening ceremony, journalists waited hours at her hotel to see the big beauty. The journalists were really hungry and threw some pretty mean banters meant for Cecilia. Finally she came out on the red carpet and was deeply frightened as three hands grabbed for her chest. The guy though (with the hands thing) grinned brighter than a flower.

When Ceci's car drives away, a guy and a friend beside him said, "It's so worth it! She's prettier than in her movies". An old woman said otherwise, "What's there to see? Skinny like a bone bag, like a monkey."

Cecilia Cheung Visiting Child with Incurable Illness - Surrounding Viewers Moved to Tears
Posted Image
"I really don't know what to do, only to say to you that you must be strong..."
Yesterday afternoon at 3pm, before the provincial stadium entrance, an already choking with tears Cecilia Cheung sobs while consoling with a girl with an incurable disease, named Yan Xiu Juan. The surrounding people were all very touched by this scene, all reddened in the eye. The sincere Cecilia Cheung even pulls back the organization committee people in charge to say: "If at night I do not see her in the most comfortable seat, I most definately will not perform onstage." Last night, Cecilia especially stayed backstage to give the ill fan moon cakes plus her signatured CDs which she just bought herself. The fans were so touched they couldn't stop crying. Cecilia was hugging her fans, sharing the sadness.

Yesterday morning, the girl Yan Xiu Juan got to Cheng Du from Mian Yang with the assistance of her father and elder sister. It was already arranged that she would meet Cecilia at the hotel, but she couldn't wait and waited at the provincial stadium. "I like Cecilia very much, thanks Cheng Du Business Newspaper for making my dream come true, I think I will die without regret!" The 18 year-old's words moved the surrounding people. Around 2:30pm Cecilia appeared. The weak Yan Xiu Juan excitedly raced up, then waiting patiently for Cecilia's dress rehersal to finish.

Even though their meeting was planned for the nigh, the first thing Cecilia asks when she got off the stage is 'where is Yan Xiu Juan'. When her idol came to her side, Yan Xiu Juan cried out "Waa!". Cecilia, while touching Yan Xiu Juan's head, gently said, "Don't cry, older sister is here, old sister really misses you too!" Yan Xiu Juan cried even harder. The then Cecilia disregarded her own tears and busily tries look for tissues to wipe Yan Xiu Juan's tears. Afterwards, Yan Xiu Juan takes out a pretty bracelet to give to Cecilia.

Due to Yan Xiu Juan's weak body, Cecilia personally holds her while going back to the hotel. She says to the people in charge: "Please, you have to assign her the most comfortable seat. If I do not see her sitting there, I most definately will not perform onstage. After Cecilia calms her emotions, she accepts the reporters' interviews. "I know she doesn't have much time. When I am singing I know for sure I shall cry and it will affect my performance. But for her I will sing the songs well!" The emotional Cecilia prays for Yan Xiu Juan: "I hope she won't be so pained, you must be strong."

Cecilia Cheung Donates to Ill Girl

Yesterday at 1am, Cecilia Cheung personally gives 50,000 yens to 18 year-old Yan Xiu Juan. The concert during the day before yesterday ended at 11pm. On the way back to the hotel, Cecilia frowns all the way and doesn't speak. Yan Xiu Juan's pale face and weak body worries her so. At the hotel, a bunch of people are anticipating to got out and celebrate by eating "huo guo" (fire woks??). Cecilia suddenly says: "I want to give Yan Xiu Juan something. What is appropriate?" Suggestions like "You should bring her to Hong Kong's Hai Yang Park to play, go to Qing Cheng Mountain to pray" were rejected. She decides to give her 50,000 yens from the heart.

Cecilia was determined to give money, but she didn't bring a lot of cash with her. An agent empties his/her wallet to only collect 40,000 yens. Everybody thinks this would be enough to represent Cecilia's kindness, but earnest Cecilia persists in giving more. So everyone needs to think a new plan. Cecilia's credit card can't be used in Cheng Du and she was so nervous as to cry. Cecilia then implores the organization committee persons in charge. When they know of this, they immediately accepts Cecilia's request, lending her 10,000 yens.

At 1am, a worn-out Cecilia hurries to the hotel where Yan Xiu Juan lives. Yan Xiu Juan can't believe her idol appeared again and kept blinking her eyes. Cecilia only knew her for half a day. While giving her 50,000 yens, Cecilia asks Yan Xiu Juan's family to put more clothes on the girl to prevent getting a cold. Saying "Little sister Xiu Juan, did older sister disturb your rest? This is money that older sister gives to you to cure your sickness, you must be strong, strive to get your sickness cured. The next time older sister comes to Si Chuan, I will play with you again." Yan Xiu Juan's father already had tears flowing out of control, saying firmly, "Thank you for caring for Xiu Juan. Good people will be safe for a whole lifetime!"

During the night of the concert, Cecilia gave the Yan Xiu Juan mooncakes, signed CDs, eggs, and kneeled on the floor singing "Forget Cannot Forget" to her.
