I really miss him!  I really hope he comes back to TVB soon...

Me too. I hope to see him in some TVB series soon. It's been a while since I have seen a series with him in it. The only thing I get to see him in everyday is a phone company commerical here in Canada. When I first saw that commerical I had to watch it a couple more times before I confirmed it was Louis.

(7/26/2004) Louis Koo Tin Lok yesterday attended a 3G phone promotion. Over 100 lined up for a chance to ride with Koo Tin Lok. Koo Tin Lok revealed that he will give his 3G phone to his father.

Earlier Koo Tin Lok's manager Ronnie will resign from the TVB job, but Koo Tin Lok still asks for TVB to hire Ronnie to be his manager. Koo Tin Lok expressed that as a TVB artist he will only follow the company's arrangement and guidance. He also hopes to meet with TVB executives to strengthen communication.
Koo Tin lok ran into a minor earthquake while on vacation in Japan. He said that his Japanese friends were used to it. Although it was not his first earthquake either, it still felt strange to him. As for the first one, he said that it felt a little like being possessed.

It's unfortunate that Louis didn't take part in Healing Hands III. I was so happy when I saw the presentation clip with him in it. He makes such a cute doctor. Too bad... Hope he makes a TVB series soon!

Im watching Recipe for the Heart right now and he was so damn hot! This series was the one where he smiled the most. His got such cute dimples too. I really miss him in TVB series and his old looks.

I personally can't see him as a doctor. He's too hot to be a doctor! I think he is more suitable for those cop/rascal roles b/c he can have this really serious rough look.

I know that he has a younger brother. I'm just wondering if any of you guys have come accross pictures of his family?

Louis Koo with Niki Chow at an event, Monday October 4, 2004 Hong Kong

Louis Koo has been busy filming commercials lately. Attending a public event with Niki Chow last night, he said he read in the papers that the average longevity of Hong Kongers is the third highest in the world. He added it wasn't his goal to be 100 years old one day. He will be happy enough if he reaches 80.

Louis started filming a new Johnnie To movie two days ago. Other cast members of the film include Nick Cheung, Tony Leung (Ka Fai), Gordon Lam and Cherrie Ying. The film will have two parts, and Louis plays a courteous peace lover with a college degree. This character is very different from what he has tried before.

It is said that Louis may soon leave TVB after his contract expires. Asked about it last night, Louis said his contract would expire by the end of the year, and TVB did contact him for a possible renewal. "I did not ask for a better salary, nor did I ask to stay away from ancient serials. The main problem was how long I would be bound by the contract. My last one was five years. I hope the new can be cut to two years. The company wants me to shoot one serial next year."Louis said.

As for the rumors that he will start his own company and he wants Ronnie to be his manager again, Louis says he wants to settle his contract with TVB first, and there is no time to think about other stuff right now. He stresses he did have a pleasant time working with Ronnie when he was still in TVB. Why didn't he ask Ronnie to stay? Louis said he had a discussion with Ronnie, but Ronnie made up his mind to leave TVB and see the outside world.

I certainly think he won`t be returning back to TVB, because, look at how much money he`s making by acting in films/movies. Actors and actresses earn very little for the TVB // ATV company; esp. if they`re newcomers. Hiring a newcomer`s like hiring 2-3 experienced actors//actresses. I don`t even think TVB has enough money to hire Louis anyhow.

Article: October 14, 2004

Louis Koo was attending a promotion of chewing gum and candied cake to promote a sugarless gum. Louis has signed a three year contract with the company and in the first year, he would visit the Japanese factory. This time he was lucky to have met with the big boss from the company.

As spokesman, Louis was good with his promotion. He said he always carry chewing gum because he might suddenly have to make a kissing scene. That way he could chew some gum to freshen his breath. The emcee asked, "So in future if you have a chance to make a kissing scene with me, I hope you would give me some gum too." The audience laughed. Louis was laughing too and the emcee got embarrassed.

Asked if he would give a piece of gum to the female co-star, Louis said he would. He sometimes initiates and asks if the other party would like some gum. The reporter asked if he did that, wouldn't it mean he thought the other had bad breathe? Louis said. "Yes? Oh I didn't think about that." But Louis said that when he was making the movie Fantasia, the director had designed a kissing scene for him and Cecilia Cheung. And he was to partly chew gum and partly kiss. In the end the chewing gum went into Cecilia's mouth. Louis laughed and said if he really did that, it would not be very hygenic. So in the end, Cecilia would chew a piece of gum and she spit it out. Could Louis accept taking the chewed gum of others? Louis shook his head and smiled. But if the script required it, he would still do so.

Later on, Louis would make a promotional film for TVB and if time permits next year, he would make a TV series for them for he still owes them 10 episodes. Asked who would be chosen as Best Actor and Best Actress this year, he said the actors of War and Beauty because they are just too popular.

[The Sun & Oriental Daily 20/10/04]

Recently taking on a large number of advertisements, Louis Koo has recently shot a set of ads for Pentax cameras, with a mixed race model called Stephanie, who looks a little like Sonija Kwok, playing a pair of lovers. During filming, they got on very well, hugging each other like real lovers and even sharing the same sweater without any awkwardness and sharing many laughs as they got into the right positions!

With his birthday on the 21st of the month, Louis spent $70 million on a luxury home earlier and on his birthday, he will be holding a special promotional birthday party with his sponsors and fans.

[Ta Kung Pao & The Sun 22/10/04]

After winning a seven figure fee to be spokesperson for Pentax Cameras, a special press conference and birthday party was held for Louis Koo yesterday. A group of fans presented him with a cake to celebrate his 34th birthday and seven beautiful models were on hand to give him a birthday kiss. However, Louis was so embarrassed that he covered his face with his hands and caused a lot of laughs.

Louis admits that he has never received birthday kisses from seven beauties before and in the past when he was celebrating his birthday abroad and was kissed by a foreign lady, he was already very embarrassed, maybe because he has very strong Chinese traditions and these are rather reserved. He indicates that he has been taken out for dinner by all his friends this week, including old schoolmates and Miriam Yeung. Talking of birthday wishes, Louis' wish of buying an apartment and a car have already been fulfilled and as he no longer wishes to drive, he just has one car now that he uses for work. The new house will require a seven figure sum to refurbish and has two more rooms and bathrooms than his old house. It should be ready by the middle of next year. The most unusual thing about the new house is that it has a study, where there are a lot of old law books and four television screens where he can watch four different channels at the same time. When asked whether his parents are rushing him to get married, he laughs: "How can I get married if I don't even have a date yet. I don't plan to get married until I am 42!"

I was watching one of his old series (i think Cold Blood Warm Heart) where he is sooo fair and soft.. I never notice him then, at that time, he reminds me a bit of Leon Lai - not the look but the way he walks, he like to look down (as if he is not confident) fair skin .. etcc.... But ever since I saw him in DIF IV, wow, thats the best. I think I have watched it more than 2x. He can carry a lot of emotinal scenes very well, sad, happy, serious etc, great actor..

I heard from friends that he got so tan because of travel shows, am I right??? This is like A LOT of difference. For those who dont know him might not know the fair Loius is the same Tanned Loius

Directed by Johnnie To and starring Louis Koo, Edison Chen, Jay Chow and Vaness Wu, the 'Pepsi Community Clips' held their start of filming ceremony two days ago and the four artistes each took match shaped lighters to light some candles, symbolising offerings of incense to the gods.

In the short clips, the four will play different characters. Louis will be a cocktail barman, Edison will play a courier, Jay is an insurance salesman and Vaness is a clerk in a shoe shop. The stories will tell of four young people who are full of determination and form a team to take part in a cycling competition as they head towards a common goal. In order to film the cycling scene, the four actors had to wear tight fitting cycling suits.

Knowing that he would have to wear the skintight suits, Louis had prepared in advance and added pads in his 'sensitive areas'. He says that as there are many shots of him on a bike, then there will not be too many embarrassing shots. Jay commented that Louis has the best figure among the four and Louis replied modestly that he felt Vaness was better than him.

Although Louis has filmed advertisements for Pepsi's tea range, he rarely takes part in their larger events. Louis says that this is the first time he has taken part in a main Pepsi event and he feels like he has joined another company. When Louis was asked if he had 'Pepsi blood' flowing through him, he laughed that he has 'yellow blood' because he is responsible for tea ads, but sometimes he will have blue (Pepsi) blood and together with three coloured 'TVB' blood, he would appear to have multicoloured blood!

he is one of my fav actors.. i spotted him when he was still the fair, soft spoken guy.. thot he was handsome then already.. remembered that when he started his acting career... there was report of him abt him having a police case during his teenage days.. he was brave enough to admit it and said that those were the days of his past.. he was also rumoured to having a gal fren then but relationship didnt last (it always happen when one become famous and popular)..

so far, i've never missed any of his drama series he acted in. ha.. i even managed to catch a mtv clip in a karaoke session with my frens.. it was shot before he became an actor..

think he's better of as an actor than as a singer.. he cant really sing or dance...

i do hope to catch him again in series but think this is quite impossible cos he's presently earning good $$$ out there...

"Santa's Grotto Stars" Sonija Kwok and Louis Koo were the guests at the switch on for some Christmas illuminations at a shopping centre yesterday and they were dressed up very formally and looked like a pair of newlyweds, with Sonija appearing in a red evening dress, coupled with jewellery worth about $10 million, whilst Louis wore a very smart suit. At the event, they told stories to some children who were all dressed in red and white santa outfits. Maybe it was because they had once been rumoured to be dating, but they seemed rather awkward in each other's company and exchanged very few glances and even fewer words. Afterwards, Sonija indicated that there was no embarrassment working together and although she has not seen Louis for a long time, they will still say hello to each other when they meet.

Sonija will be enjoying a white Christmas in Beijing as she will be heading out there next month to film ancient drama "Jianghu's Wandering Sword" and she will be there for four months, together with Sunny Chan, Kenny Ho and two Taiwanese stars. She says that this will be the first time she has been apart from her boyfriend for Christmas, so will he be visiting her? She laughed that the topic always comes back to this, but says that she is concentrating on her career, so she does not know if her boyfriend will be visiting her yet. Will she be giving him a Christmas card in advance? She says that she will already be bringing a lot of things with her and she does not send cards anyway, so maybe she will just send him a Christmas email or text message instead.

Louis has spent the last few Christmases in Hong Kong and he hopes to experience a white Christmas, where he can eat turkey with his family in front of a roaring fire. In order to build up the atmosphere, he will be decorating his home and last year, he bought a stable setting, a five foot tall father christmas and angels. When his parents came out and saw it, they were very shocked. He laughed: "Never mind them, when I went to the toilet at night, then I found it scary when it seemed like a big family were sitting in my lounge." When filming an advertisement for Pepsi, he injured his collar bone, leaving it slightly detached and it needs a month to recover. He will continue filming today, but luckily it is all just dialogue scenes.

Louis Koo was at a press conference for his sponsors TAG Heuer yesterday as their spokesperson and he revealed that they had presented him with many designer watches, including a limited edition piece yesterday worth $16,000. When asked if he would make the same mistake as Coco Lee and wear the wrong brand for the events, Louis says: "No, there will be someone around to point it out to me."

As for James Wong's very private funeral leaving many people in the showbiz circles rather shocked, Louis says: "I had a surprise when I watched the news. I had wanted to send him a wreath, because when I was interviewed by Uncle Jim, I learned a lot from him."
