Despite the disparaging comments made by DJ Mo Twister against them on Twitter, K-pop boy band U-Kiss will proceed with plans to return to the Philippines for their first ever concert at the Araneta Coliseum on May 29.

The Manila concert kicks off the boy band's Asian tour. After the Philippines, U-Kiss will also hold performances in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.

U-Kiss, composed of Kevin Woo, Shin Dongho, Lee Ki Seop, Kim Kibum, Kim Eli, Alexander Eusebio and Shin Soohyun, debuted in 2008 with the hit album “New Generation.”

They are in a middle of a comeback trail after releasing their latest album “Only One,” which was released only last February.

As part of promotional tour for “Only One,” the group held a mall tour last March at SM Supermalls. They also did a couple of spots for TV including an appearance in “Party Pilipinas,” which caused a stir when DJ Mo Twister tweeted that the boy band looked like lesbians.

His comments have enraged fans demanding that he apologize immediately for his remarks. The fans even created a Facebook page to vent their anger against DJ Mo.

DJ Mo was quick to defend his remarks, however.

“I felt it's in the same line as how critics dissect the Best and Worst Dressed at awards night. Look at their photo and be realistic, I am not off on my assessment—those dudes dress and look like chicks. If you find that offensive, why?” DJ Mo wrote on his blog.

hahahaha his comment wasn't even really a big deal because Filipinos, although us fans were really irritated with him, do not really give importance to him. cos he's not really anything XDDDD and a lot of people really don't like him XDDD

and i cannot wait to see the boys againnnnnnnnnnnnnn. so excited!! <3 i need lady luck again <3

i stopped tuning in on kpop and switched to jpop from years ago and now when i accidentally stumbled on a kpop page, i was shocked to see males wearing eyesliners and mascara. and let's face it, in the philippines males do not wear make-up or at least not the noticeable ones.

what i don't understand in why 'lesbians' and not 'gays'?

mo twister is a dj and so opinionated as we already know. he has the freedom to express his opinions, in a good or bad way. too bad that people viewed it as bad and attacked him. what i dislike most about this article is reading how filipinos got together against a fellow countryman for the sake of a group from another country. shows the worst side of our people.
btw, i hope this group CAN sing. super junior's concert in manila got thumbs down from inquirer and i hope this group doesn't follow suit.
