Nothing happened to the group members. It was all a show. The 4 friends came together and formed a boy band basically only get material for their mockumentary "4 Heavenly Kings" (which is playing in HK now). Shortly prior to the release, the media picked up on a squabble the boys were having and blew it out of proportion. I'm not sure if the squabble was staged by the boys and fed to the media, or if it was just another case of the media making a mountain out of a molehill. Probably a little bit of both. Anyway, the world eventually found out that the boys weren't really trying to make it as a boy band -- that Alive was only formed so they could make the movie -- and everyone felt used and betrayed. Alive claims that they will not disband, but who knows. The media boycotted them. The boys apologized to their fans. Fans were angry, but I don't think they are anymore. I thought it was a riot. Alive vs the media. Pretty brilliant.

This band together don't sound that great. I guess terence sounds the best because he has the most experience. I wonder if they are going to sing more songs!

just to update everyone... (since i don't know if everyone realizes it) - the boyband 'Alive' was all fake for the movie 'The Heavenly Kings' (四大天王). Only Terence Yin is actually good at singing, the rest are not good singers.

The four guys filmed the boyband process for their mockumentary... the movie came out in April 2006. After that they have stopped 'performing' but they often appear together at events and they are all still supporting the boyband's fake website 'alivenotdead.com' which is now an online social community for artists based in HK. Terence, Daniel Wu, Conroy and Andrew are just four of the many artists on there now.... including Jet Li, Van Ness Wu and many other artists like Mavis Fan, Vincent Kok, Cherrie Ying, etc. Check it out...

The website has recently hosted a number of events to support Indie HK artists (including ones who's music is featured in their film).
