The former F4 member was in town to solemnise with long-time Singaporean girlfriend, Arissa Cheo yesterday
After filing for marriage in Singapore earlier this August, Taiwanese-American singer Vanness Wu and Singaporean girlfriend Arissa Cheo are finally pronounced husband and wife by the Registry of Marriages Singapore yesterday.
Hoping to keep their wedding as low-profile as possible, the legally married couple decided to hold their wedding in Los Angeles on November 15.† The closed-door event, which will be attended by family, friends and a few invited celebrity guests, will reportedly be held at a five-star hotel near the suburbs and seaside.
Celebrities who will be invited to their matrimonial celebration include former F4 members Vic Chou, Ken Zhu and Jerry Yen, Elva Hsiao as well as Jeffery Huang.
Sources also revealed that the newlyweds will have an America traditional ceremony at 3pm which will be followed up with a buffet dinner and an after-party for their guests. Attendees of the wedding are said to be restricted from taking photographs and posting pictures on their social media networks.
Meanwhile, word has it that invites to the punk rock-themed wedding have been sent out, hyping up the media attention geared towards the 31-year-old bride. The pervasive intrusion made by a local newspaper reportedly infuriated Arissa as she made angry posts on her social media platforms yesterday.
In her Instagram post, she wrote: 'I am so disappointed with the media here in Singapore. How is it that they are able to find out where I live, stand outside my house, ring my doorbell and ask to speak to my parents'¶ We (Vanness and her) have never experienced this in Taiwan or even Hong Kong'¶This is unacceptable, I feel much violated.'Ě

The Malaysian singer held a press conference on Monday to apologise for his recent drunken fit
Taiwan-based Malaysian singer, Gary Chaw held a press conference on Monday and promised to abstain from alcohol after his unruly drunken behaviour last month placed his marriage with wife, Wu Sou Ling on the rocks.
'Sometimes, I would get home drunk and knock into things around the house. My daughter knows it because she sees me sleeping on the sofa. I will not die if I do not have alcohol, but life will be meaningless if I lose my family,'Ě said Gary.
The 34-year-old father of two professed that it was his daughter's words: 'Daddy, I don't like it when you drink'Ě, which jolted him awake and motivated him to stay away from the bottle.
'I will not touch alcohol for the rest of my life again,'Ě he declared confidently.
When probed by reporters on what he would do if a similar drunken episode occurs again, the singer said, 'I will quit showbiz, donate TW$10 million (approximately S$430,000) to charity or you can lock me up for three days.'Ě
Gary explained that the binge drinking started when he was stuck at song inspirations. He hopes that regular workouts will work as a distraction to keep him sober.
With regards to divorcee rumours, the singer shared, 'My wife and I do quarrel but it's mostly because of work. Before I came here (to the press conference), she told me to be strong and that she loves me.'Ě
New developments in Jam Hsiao's recent faeces attack: sources claimed that the real mastermind behind the incident is a mafia boss nicknamed 'Brother Qing'Ě, who is also a good friend of the singer's infamous Japanese fan, Yuki.
When asked to verify her relationship with Brother Qing, Yuki admitted that they are on close terms and said, 'We even travelled to Bali for a holiday together recently, but he returned to Taiwan earlier.'Ě
Sources further revealed that Brother Qing frequents the Xinzhuang and Shulin districts in Taipei, and that the perpetrators, who were summoned to court last Sunday, are also the boss' underlings.
Zhang Zhe Zhi, one of the four suspects present in court, reportedly shouldered the blame and admitted to being instigated by a lady named Miss Wu, who wanted to seek revenge for being 'mistreated'Ě by Jam's staff at an event.
However, the police have not ruled out the possibility of foul play and will be carrying out further investigations.
