The Taiwanese singer is in talks of hosting a new variety show and will be earning as much as other veteran hosts
Selina Jen takes her entertainment career to new heights after recovering from her burnt accident. Reports suggest that the S.H.E singer will partner Taiwanese artiste, Na Dou (Lin You Zhi) to host a new variety show produced by Taiwan's television channel, Super TV.
The married singer will be reportedly paid NT$120,000 (approximately S$5076) per episode, which is equivalent to what veteran hosts Dee Hsu and Zhang Xiao Yan are currently earning.
Selina once expressed her passion in hosting when she was recuperating from her burnt injury. The producer of the kids programme was tempted to invite the 31-year-old as host after her well-received performance for Here Comes Kang Xi and Guess when she stood in as relief host.
Selina's management company, HIM International Music confirmed the news and mentioned both parties are "actively discussing further details right now" and the singer is "very satisfied with the proposed figure [earnings]".
The kids-centric programme will be aired during prime time on weekdays.

Singer Ava Yu Kiu has been working on movies nonstop. Earlier she worked on THE ICEMAN COMETH 3D (3D BING FUNG HUP) and was surprised at how complicated the 3D film shoot was. Each shot needed to be shot multiple times, her face was all twisted from repeating the same expression! A bottle breaking scene still was unfinished after two days. She said, "Because the bottle breaking had to be shot from different angels, it had to be shot many times. Every time the expression had to be the same!"
Yu Kiu will go to Shenzhen for a month to make a horror film. In the film she will be strangled and receive her first "death lai see". Before going she made full preparations. "This time I really am bringing everything, including charms and mascots. I am usually scared already as I watch ghost films!"
The Taiwanese actress reveals that both families would be exchanging new year greetings in the coming Lunar New Year
Ariel Lin revealed that she would be visiting her boyfriend's house during the Lunar New Year, and hints at the possibility of a sudden marriage between them.
When asked about her plans for Valentine's Day this year, the 30-year-old told reporters at a Godiva event on Tuesday that her boyfriend, who is currently overseas, might not be back home in time for celebrations.
The actress also shared that her family would meet up with her boyfriend's family to exchange Lunar New Year greetings. Ariel would then visit her boyfriend's house again on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, which coincides with Valentine's Day.
Ariel, who has been seeing her current beau for more than a year, also brought up that she might 'tie the knot anytime.'
Scheduled to start work on the third day of the Lunar New Year, Ariel shyly added that she would try to adjust her schedule with her manager in order to make time for her relationship without compromising on work.
When asked to guess the present she would receive from her boyfriend on Valentine's Day, Ariel replied with a smile that she has 'no idea'.
However, she revealed that her boyfriend once gave her a full set of scuba diving equipment. She even went for diving lessons after that, and has successfully passed the beginner's stage.

Jay Chou's performances have been very well-received ever since he dazzled audiences at the annual CCTV Spring Festival Gala in 2004. However, his fans are going to be disappointed this year, as the Taiwanese superstar has allegedly declined to perform at the prestigious event for the fifth time during Lunar New Year's Eve.
Reports claimed the 34-year-old rejected the Chinese television station's invitation earlier this month, and has planned to 'spend time with his mother and grandmother.'
Although Jay's management company, JVR Music said that they did not receive word of the matter from CCTV, they have confirmed that Jay will not be performing at the Spring Festival Gala this year due to 'family commitments.'
CCTV has not responded to this matter.

Lin Chi-Ling has constantly denied talk of marriage with her rumoured boyfriend, Taiwanese businessman Qiu Shi Kai. However, speculations on Lin Chi-Ling's love life have arisen again as reports suggest that the 38-year-old has secretly registered her marriage with Chinese entertainment magnate, Meng Qing Song, in Japan.
It was love at first sight when the pair met on a plane six months ago. They were reportedly smitten with each other and started dating soon afterward.
Chi-Ling is also believed to have secretly tied the knot with Qing Song in Japan, the country where the couple pledged their love.
The Taiwanese model's manager dismissed these claims, commenting, 'It's so hilarious. [Chi-Ling] don't even know this guy. She's too busy to date right now.'
Qing Song, 30, is a well-known artiste manger and film producer. Due to his outstanding performance in the showbiz industry, he has been regarded as the 'most influential person under 30 years old' in China.

Director Stephen Chow praises the Taiwanese actor-singer's comic talent in his challenging role for ˜Journey to the West"
Show Luo's role in famous actor-director Steven Chow's upcoming movie Journey to the West has been rapidly gaining popularity after it was recently unveiled.
Fans can expect a good laugh from Show, as director Stephen Chow described him as "the atomic bomb of comedy", praising his comic talent.
The multi-talented Taiwanese singer-actor plays a "weak gentleman" in the movie, alongside big names such as Taiwanese actress Shu Qi and Chinese actor Wen Zhang.
Show said that he was honoured to be able to fulfill his dream of acting in his idol Stephen Chow's movie.
Commenting on his role, Show said that his character in Journey to the West would bring pleasant surprises for the audience.
Contrary to his usual on-stage image where fans are used to seeing him dance, Show said that Stephen did not allow him to dance in the movie in order to give the audience a refreshing image. He added, "Stephen is wise like that".

The Taiwanese singer-actress gets into trouble after she mocked the Chinese government press and pledged her support for China's liberal newspaper 'Southern Weekly'.
Taiwanese singer-actress Annie Yi was called in for an investigation after she publicly showed her support for China's liberal newspaper 'Southern Weekly' which promotes freedom of speech.
She was uncontactable since then, making her fans and family worried.
However, Annie reassured them of her safety through a text message, saying that 'her work is back to normal' and her new book 'Fall in Love with Body' is now published.
Annie, known for being daring with her words, said that she would fully support the 'Southern Weekly's challenge against the Chinese government, and even mockingly described the Chinese government press as 'dogs'.
Besides sharing beauty tips in her new book, the 43-year-old also generously showed off her good figure through a photo-shoot in bikini.

The Taiwanese superstar is working towards fulfilling his previous claim of getting married at 35 years old
With one year left to fulfill his intentions of getting married at 35 years old, Taiwanese multi-hyphenate Jay Chou who turns 34 this month, now regrets his previous announcement. At an autograph session for his new album Opus 12, he mentioned that he will work hard towards this goal, saying, 'Some of my good friends have set up their own families. It's time for me to 'grow' too.'
He added that besides keeping his 'promise', the other reason why he hopes to settle down soon is to narrow down the age gap between him and his kids.
'Otherwise, how is the child going to understand my songs?' he laughed.
When asked on birthday celebrations this year, Jay expressed his wish to take a break from his recent busy work schedules to spend a day with his beloved mum.
With a growing interest in culinary, the singer picked up some cooking tips from the chef at his own restaurant and came up with some creative cuisine such as 'salted egg chicken chop'. The filial son hopes to whip up a few dishes on his birthday to thank this mum for raising him singlehandedly over the years.
And though Jay aims to get married within the next year, he plans to continue singing until he turns 70.
