Rumor has it that Mario is smitten with the lovable comedienne. Some quarters insist that Mario has split up with his longtime girlfriend, Gubgib Sumontip (a Thai actress). Kakai and Mario became close during the shooting of “Suddenly It’s Magic.”
“Pardon my show biz answer but we’re just super good friends,” Kakai says. “We had dinner in Bangkok recently with his manager and my friends. We’re both fun-loving. He is a wonderful guy. Very humble. No airs, even if he’s a superstar in Thailand.”
Who knows? Friendship is just a few heartbeats away from love.

Despite her current status as a member of the girl group 2NE1, Korean pop star Dara Park -- or Sandara Park to most Filipinos -- remains in touch with her Filipino friends and fans.
In her official Twitter account, Park regularly tweets about the Philippines -- and in Tagalog, at that.
On Tuesday, Park said she got to watch new DVDS including the comedy hit "This Guy's in Love With U Mare," starring Vice Ganda, Luis Manzano and Toni Gonzaga.
This prompted her to send a tweet to Manzano. "Napanood ko this guy's in love with u mare! Kakatuwa koya d tau pwede maging loveteam! Magkapatid nalang tau~,"(I saw this guy's in love with you mare! It's funny. Big brother we can't be a loveteam. Maybe as bro/sis) Park wrote.
"k, magkapatid tapos? Isip ka story, pwedeng k-pop star ako tapos ikaw fan na patay na patay sa akin tapos mas sisikat ka pa!" Manzano replied. (Ok, siblings then?Think of a story, how about I'm a big K-Pop star then you're like an obsessed fan of mine, but you're gonna get more famous than I am)
"Mix natin ang stories natin para maging isang magandang movie! Haha cnu magiging leading man ko? Cnu bagay sakin?" she tweeted back. (Let's mix our stories and hopefully it'll become a good movie. Who will be my leading man?)

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Anne Curtis considers her transfer to ABS-CBN one of the “life-changing” decisions she has made.
Curtis, who turns 28 this month, moved to the Kapamilya network in 2004 from rival station GMA7.
In an interview with fellow Kapamilya talent Bianca Gonzalez that appeared in The Philippine Star on Sunday, it was Carmina Villaroel and Gelli de Belen who advised her to make the move.
“I was in ‘Nuts Entertainment with Carmina’ and Gelli, and I was talking to them about it — I should transfer, how I love ‘Nuts Entertainment’ and that it’s so much fun. They asked, ‘Do you want to act?’ ‘Here kasi I always get the balikbayan roles, comedy, and I want to act.’ They said, ‘Then do this.(transfer to ABS-CBN)’ And I did. And that was majorly life changing,” Curtis said.
She also revealed that she had to audition for the series “Kampanerang Kuba,” which she also considers another life-changing moment.
“I knew at that time that direk Wenn (Deramas) was eyeing a different actress. So I went into the audition knowing that there was already someone for the role. But I was so happy that I got the role. Having the guts to say, you know what, go, why not,” she said.
Similarly, she said she was thankful that she chose to play the other woman in the blockbuster movie “No Other Woman,” for which she won a best actress trophy from the FAMAS. Curtis revealed that Viva Films, which produced the movie, originally wanted her to play the wife, which was eventually played by Cristine Reyes.
Curtis also considers joining “It’s Showtime” as another life-changing event.
“It definitely helped change my career all together. People got to ..... (article cut to save bandwidth)
MANILA, Philippines -- Richard Yap isn't one to let fame get into his head.
Since taking on the role of "Sir Chief" in the hit daytime series "Be Careful With My Heart," the 45-year-old actor has become a household name. During mall tours, Yap's appearance with co-star Jodi Sta. Maria triggers a frenzy. Being approached by screaming fans to have a photo taken with him -- and on occasion, to hug and "pinch" him -- have become every-day affairs.
"But that's fleeting," Yap said. "So I'd rather not put that in my head."
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Thursday, the actor said he has yet to get used to the attention that comes with being "Sir Chief."
Before starring in "Be Careful With My Heart" -- which is now the undisputed No. 1 daytime program on local TV -- Yap has had his share of popularity. As "Papa Chen" in the 2011 series "My Binondo Girl," he easily became a recognizable figure.
His turn as a household name thanks to his ongoing "kilig-serye," however, was something he had not anticipated.
"That's something I'll never get used to. I don't know why people would scream just to see me, because there is no difference between me before I joined showbiz and now," he said.
Currently, Yap is said to be one of the most in-demand TV personalities for appearances across the country and abroad, ranking him alongside Coco Martin and Piolo Pascual.
"That's very unexpected, and I'm very thankful to be held in that bracket. I don't want to pressure myself , so I just take everything as it comes, and I try to make the most out of it," he said.

MANILA, Philippines – Big Bang, one of Korea’s most popular boy bands today, finally held the highly-anticipated Manila leg of their Alive Galaxy Tour last night, and it was undoubtedly one for the books.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock over the last few years, you would know that Kpop has been gaining steady popularity in the country and is at its highest peak today, what with everyone still reeling over the aftereffects of international viral hit “Gangnam Style” by singer PSY who, incidentally, is under the same agency as Big Bang (YG Entertainment). While few and far between and usually with hefty ticket prices, concerts by Kpop stars more often than not end up getting sold out early. It’s no surprise then that the non-Korean music-listening majority would wonder what exactly about “those Koreans” that makes their ardent and usually young fans scrimp on their daily necessities to save and ultimately shell out money worth, say, what a brand new smart phone would cost.
Starting just about 20 minutes late – and when you’re in Manila, that’s already a good thing – the Big Bang concert opened with a visually-stunning AVP of a spaceship hovering over what seemed to be thousands of miles above the Earth’s atmosphere, deploying five space capsules containing band members G-Dragon, TOP, Seungri, Daesung, and Taeyang. The curtain, which also served as the screen, unveiled to reveal these capsules with the members inside them singing a short intro titled “Alive.”
And from there on it was just one high-energy live performance one after the other, with the boys performing their latest releases “Monster,” “Blue,” “Fantastic Baby,” and “Bad Boy,” to name a few. They also treated the audience to some of their older hits, like “Lies,” ..... (article cut to save bandwidth)
