Alvin Lai posted a shocking picture of his back after receiving 'gua sha'Ě treatment from his wife yesterday
Yesterday, Ella Chen's husband, Alvin Lai, created a stir on his Facebook page after he uploaded a picture of his naked back, joking that he is a 'victim'Ě of domestic violence.
In the photo, Alvin's back was covered in big red patches, a result of his gua sha (a traditional treatment for heatstroke and intestinal discomfort by scraping the patient's neck, chest and back) session with Ella.
The post read: 'I haven't been sleeping well due to giddiness and bloatedness. Turns out that it is because my blood circulation is 'stuck'! Thanks to my wife's 'abusive' gua sha skills, I feel much better now'¶ though the process was really painful!'Ě
Shortly after, Ella's fans flocked to comment on the post, singing praises of her unique talent. Some even suggested that the S.H.E member consider becoming a tui na master in future. 'I guess Alvin has a love-hate relationship with this form of 'domestic violence'!'Ě wrote a netizen.
After their wedding in May last year, the couple has been sharing snippets of their blissful marriage life on their individual Facebook pages. Fondly known as 'Lai brother-in-law'Ě by the fans, Alvin has accumulated nearly 70,000 followers on his page so far.
Is Jay Chou planning to go public with girlfriend Hannah Quinlivan?
Hiding their faces behind surgical masks, Jay and Hannah were spotted grocery shopping at a supermarket in Taipei on Tuesday afternoon. It was the first time in two years ‚Ä" since they were revealed to be secretly dating ‚Ä" that they had appeared in public together without shunning the media.
The couple was accompanied by a male assistant who tagged along to help carry their purchases. As Jay and Hannah were engrossed in their shopping, they only noticed the presence of paparazzi halfway through their outing. However, they were not in a hurry to escape from the cameras as they calmly continued to browse through the supermarket's aisles.
Unlike his usual hostility towards the paparazzi, Jay simply glanced at the reporters while settling the bill at the cashier. The trio then headed for the carpark, where the multi-hyphenate drove off without a fuss.
Following this incident, 34-year-old Jay, who previously declared his wish to get married at 35, has been widely speculated to announce some good news soon.
Taiwanese actress-host Ji Qin, wife of former 5566 member Zax Wang, was sent to the hospital on Monday, following complaints of a severe headache. According to media reports, Ji Qin has been suffering from migraines for the past two months. As she was preoccupied with work and her two kids, Le Le and Ya Ya, the 37-year-old shelved her plans to go for a medical check-up, despite her aggravated condition due to the recent climate change. Fortunately, Zax was home when her headache worsened on Monday. Ji Qin was immediately brought to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment, where the doctor stated that she has a dissection (flap-like tear) in the inner lining of the vertebral artery, which is located in the neck and supplies blood to the brain. At the doctor's advice, Ji Qin was admitted into the hospital for observation as her condition also puts her at risk of getting a mild stroke. While speaking to the media, Zax assured everyone that his wife is recovering well and thanked the fans for their concern. ‚ÄúShe's being put on drip and medication, but she is able to eat normally,‚ÄĚ he said. ‚ÄúLuckily the situation was discovered early. She needs to stay here for about a week.‚ÄĚ Zax added that Ji Qin's condition might have been triggered by a bad massage during her overseas trip or over-exertion while she was exercising. ‚ÄúThe doctor said that the symptoms can happen to young people, and not just the elderly. Everyone should take care of their health,‚ÄĚ he reiterated.
