After the drunken assault case, the Taiwanese celeb talks about her ex-relationship with Tomoyori and says she's ready to make a comeback
Taiwanese entertainer Makiyo recently confessed her relationship with Japanese friend Takateru Tomoyori for the first time, ten months after they were embroiled in a taxi driver assault case in February this year. Both of them were drunk and had hit the taxi driver harshly several times in the chest and abdomen area.
Makiyo revealed that they only started dating after knowing each other for seven months. Makiyo previously kept their relationship under wraps and was taken aback when Tomoyori publicly announced their relationship at that time.
Tomoyori was said to be deeply in love with Makiyo as he was willing to take the rap on his girlfriend's behalf when the drunken assault incident happened.
The 28-year-old had since broken up with Tomoyori and stressed that they are "just friends right now, only messaging each other occasionally".
During the interview, Makiyo also expressed the pressure she faced from the public over these ten months. The artiste did not dare to step out of her house and at one point in time, cried for two weeks long and isolated herself in her bedroom.
"I was afraid that my cancer-stricken mum would find out and worry for me," she added.
Although the incident left an immediate impact on Makiyo's career, she is ready to return to the entertainment industry anytime. "I'm interested to go into singing or acting in future."

The Taiwanese songstress' 'out of shape'Ě figure gains more attention than her performance at her concert
Taiwanese diva A-Mei held her AMeiZing Live World Tour at Kaohsiung, Taiwan last night, accomplishing the feat of being the first Chinese singer to throw a concert at the Kaohsiung World Games Main Stadium.

'Today's performance is different from usual," the 40-year-old lamented. "Many cameras and pens are pointing at me. No matter how well I sang and performed, the focus will still be on my figure.'Ě
Although the songstress shared that she has been cycling religiously to shed some pounds, she poked fun at herself, saying, 'I'm sorry if you want me to be stick-thin. A-Mei can only be a singer and not a model.'Ě
In related news, nearly 1000 people reportedly asked for refunds of their tickets due to the inferior sound system at the concert. The organizer clarified regarding this, 'We have yet to receive any feedback of such at the moment.'Ě

Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai cried for eight hours straight while filming the music video for I, from her latest album MUSE. The song, which depicts her journey as an artiste from debut to superstar status, apparently struck a nerve within the 32-year-old.
One of the lyrics says, "When the stage grows small one day, who will still be around? Could it be that I'm not good enough? Who will come and embrace me?"
Then there is the music video, which displays the raw feelings of a superstar behind all the glamour and glitz onstage.
To show her "real side", Jolin will go bare-faced in the music video. While looking at herself in the clip afterward, she grimaced, "When I watch female artistes removing their make-up on television shows, I always thought the most awkward part was the 'half-naked' face. Now I understand how that feels!"
The songstress is contemplating removing the track from the set list for her "Myself" World Tour concert at the Taipei Arena later this month, as she is worried that she might break down again.

Taiwanese artiste Rainie Yang, 28, is said to be in a May-December romance with Prince, member of boyband JPM. The lad was recently spotted taking a taxi to her place in the middle of the night, leaving Rainie's house only nine hours later. The 23-year-old reportedly curled up in the backseat of the taxi to avoid being discovered.
Their managers later clarified that they gathered at Rainie's place for a birthday celebration and that there is no need for speculation. Both sides have also maintained a "just friends" stance.
Though Rainie once expressed that she will not date anyone who is more than five years her junior, she was seen heading home with 21-year-old Modi, also a JPM member and real brother of Prince, in April. Sources revealed that Modi was just a smokescreen and that the person she is believed to be seeing for six months now is actually Prince.
The singer-actress was subsequently spotted attending a gathering at Prince's house on December 2 and she had similarly hid at the back of a taxi at the time.

Hong Kong-based model Lisa S., wife to fellow celebrity Daniel Wu, announced news of her expectancy this week. Speaking to reporters at an event yesterday, she revealed they are looking forward to welcome a baby girl.
The 37-year-old, who is three months pregnant now, shared that Daniel is very excited about their bun in the oven. The mum-to-be even laughed at the thought of her daughter bringing home her boyfriend when she grows up and is worried that Daniel would become a jealous in-law or even exchange fists with the guy.
Although she is happy to be expecting a child, regardless of gender, the couple hopes to try for a son in future. She added, "I hope to teach her well and not be like me because I was really naughty when I was a kid."
Lisa confessed that she has piled on 16 kg and the weight gained is concentrated on her chest and bottom areas. When asked if she would be breastfeeding the child, Lisa nodded and jokingly teased the female reporter if she wants to try it.
The couple has decided to deliver their bundle of joy in Hong Kong, but they plan to send their daughter to the United States to study in future. Daniel is expected to go on a one-year work hiatus after the child's arrival.
Lisa also mentioned that a number of friends have offered to think of the baby's name but they have yet to come up with a suitable one. While she is not feeling nervous about being pregnant, she admitted that answering reporters' questions unnerved her.

The trio shared their latest 'dormitory'Ě photo and exposed each other's sleeping habits
Taiwanese girl group S.H.E (Selina Jen, Hebe Tian and Ella Chen) moved in together to a four-room apartment last month to prepare for the launch of their latest music album, The Flowers Are Blossoming Again.
Selina recalled the days when the trio lived together for the first time in a studio apartment 11 years ago and divulged that she had to share a bed with Ella while Hebe had the priority to sleep on her own.
She laughed and mentioned, "As Hebe will turn around when she sleeps, she was afraid that we would get squashed!"
"I have their best interests at heart. I was afraid that I would hurt them while I was asleep," Hebe retorted.
Ella disclosed that Hebe still has a "terrible sleeping posture" and she is "always very lazy to get out of bed every morning".
Ella also regarded herself as "S.H.E's nanny", as she is always nagging the girls to have a proper sleep timetable and is also in charge of tidying up the apartment.
S.H.E's "dormitory days" are coming to an end soon and they have started packing up after concluding album promotions. They have also uploaded their latest group photo online to celebrate living together for the second time.
The girls are extremely delighted to return home and sleep on their beds and Selina and Ella, who are married, expressed jokingly, "We can finally cuddle our husbands again!"

The couple returned to Taiwan on the same flight, sparking speculations of a ‚Äúplane date‚ÄĚ
Taiwanese celebrity couple Kai Ko and Elva Hsiao are now more open about their relationship since the former declared his love for the songstress during an interview in Taiwanese variety show, Here Comes Kang Xi.
Besides posting words of encouragement to each other via their microblogs, Elva also reserved a movie theatre to support her beau's latest movie When a Wolf Falls In Love With a Sheep with her family and friends last month.
Kai, who is currently filming his upcoming movie Xiao Shi Dai in Shanghai, was spotted boarding a flight to Taiwan on Sunday.
Coincidentally, Elva who was supposed to be in Yi Chang (a city in China's capital, Wuhan) for a work assignment, appeared at the Shanghai airport and returned to Taiwan on the same flight which sparked dating speculations between the duo again.
As Kai had to attend a movie promotional event in Singapore on Monday, it was believed that he chose to spend two hours "dating" Elva on the plane rather than to travel directly to Singapore from Shanghai.
An insider also revealed that the 33-year-old songbird had intentionally arranged to return to Taiwan together with her rumoured boyfriend. The pair left individually as soon as the plane landed in Taiwan.
Elva's manager, Jiang Cheng Jin, denied the rumours and explained, "We only found out that Kai was also on the same flight when we met Amber Guo's (Kai's co-star in Xiao Shi Dai) manager."
Cheng Jin further clarified that Kai and Elva were seated respectively on the first and last row of the business class, and both of them "just greeted each other".

'Little Nadim'Ě is said to have clocked up endorsement deals worth S$6.38 million
Local songstress Stefanie Sun's son may have just turned one month old, but little Nadim (nicknamed after her husband Nadim van der Ros) has eight different baby product companies vying for endorsement deals with his mum. These deals are reportedly worth S$6.38 million in total, making him the 'highest earning'Ě baby this year.
Under the precious care of the whole family, little Nadim's weight has crossed a healthy 5 kg mark and he will remain cloaked in anonymity for the time being, according to Stefanie's spokesperson. 'Actually the baby's name has already been decided, but Stefanie does not wish to announce it yet and she hopes to be given a little more space.'Ě
That aside, having turned a month old recently, Stefanie's bundle of joy has received blessings from local and overseas friends alike. As part of the baby's full-month celebration, the first-time mummy distributed cakes to friends in Singapore and Taiwan; the 34-year-old got her Taiwanese manager to order 20 boxes of cakes to be distributed to her friends there.
Ever since Stefanie gave birth on October 30, the only news fans had of the local songbird was a heartwarming picture of her and her baby's hands, inviting many requests for her to share more images.
However, as Stefanie is said to have caught a flu and fever due to exhaustion, she is unable to grant her fans' wishes. Her family has hired a confinement helper to assist in looking after both mother and baby.
