Chart star Robbie Williams has admitted he has had a hair transplant.
The singer, who released an album called Take The Crown last year, said he had the work done because he was "bored" and did not even need it.
Williams, based in Los Angeles, opened up about the treatment during a discussion about cosmetic surgery.
"I've lived in LA for a long time and they say, 'If you sit in a barber's shop for long enough you'll get a hair cut'.
"Well, if you live in Los Angeles for long enough you're going to get some surgery.
"I've had a thatch done, I'll tell everyone now. I didn't even need it, that's the weirdest thing. I had like three months off and got bored so thought, I'll go in."
The star, who has recently been sporting a Pepe Le Pew-style streak in his hair, indicated the hair had been enhanced around the front of his hairline, rather than all over.
"I just got some at the sides and front done," Williams revealed whilst filming the Graham Norton Show.
"That's what I am saying about Los Angeles, it's weird," he added.
The Angels star is set to release his 11th studio album Swing Both Ways later this month.

Hugh Jackman has revealed he had a skin cancer scare when doctors diagnosed a mark on his nose as cancerous cells.
Jackman, 45, posted a photo of his face and a bandage on his nose on his Instagram page.
He said his wife Deborra-Lee Furness told him to get his nose checked, and he was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma, cancerous cells that grow on the surface of the skin.
"Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!" the Les Miserables actor said in the picture caption.
Representatives for Jackman had no updates on the actor's condition beyond his Instagram post.
Jackman is one of Hollywood's leading action stars, best known as superhero Wolverine in the X-Men films.
He was nominated for a best actor Oscar this year for his role as prisoner-turned-businessman Jean Valjean in the film adaptation of Les Miserables.
He also starred alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in this autumn's gritty drama Prisoners.
When British comedic actor Steve Coogan first read the mournful story behind his new film "Philomena" in a newspaper, he noticed that the two people in the accompanying picture were laughing.
The photo showed Philomena Lee, an elderly Irish woman looking for the son she was forced to give up as a teenage girl, and former BBC journalist Martin Sixsmith who had accompanied her on her search and written a book about it in 2009.
The photograph "struck me as being at odds with the tragic nature of the story," said Coogan. "I wondered if I could tell a story like this, a tragic and moving story, and find the way to make people smile at the same time."
That musing led Coogan to co-write, co-produce and co-star as Sixsmith in "Philomena," opposite veteran British actress Dame Judi Dench in the title role. The film directed by Britain's Stephen Frears opens in U.S. theatres this weekend.
The film is a step up in the serious department for a man whose name alone makes people chuckle in Britain. There he is best known as Alan Partridge, the buffoonish and politically incorrect regional BBC broadcaster he portrays to parody TV talk shows and commentators.
But Coogan, 48, says the intersection of drama and comedy was a natural place for him to make a film.
"I don't like the notion that you either have a drama or a serious movie that is taxing and a comedy that is light thing that you don't have to think about," Coogan told Reuters.
His goal: that the audience thinks about something real and important, has a "nice time" and feels "uplifted at the end of the story."

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio's conservation foundation has awarded a $3 million (£1.85 million) grant to the World Wildlife Fund to help Nepal increase its tiger population.
The WWF said on Thursday that the money from the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, set up by the 39-year-old star of "The Great Gatsby" and the upcoming film "The Wolf of Wall Street," will be used for an initiative to double the number of tigers in Nepal by 2022 - the next Chinese year of the tiger.
"His foundation is all about delivering real results for conservation on the ground and empowering local communities; nowhere is that more evident than in Nepal," Carter Roberts, the president and CEO of the WWF, said in a statement.
Nepal's tigers, known as the Panthera tigris, have been classified as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, with numbers declining over the years.
DiCaprio said a statement that the world's population of 3,200 tigers was endangered by "habitat destruction and escalating illegal poaching." His foundation has helped increase the number of tigers in Nepal's Terai Bardia National Park from 18 to 50.
The WWF said it will work with the government of Nepal and local communities in a 9,000 square mile (93,310 square km) region that includes protected areas for tigers, rhinos and elephants in order to stop poaching, increase breeding and to monitor the tiger population.
The DiCaprio Foundation aims to protect the environment and preserve Earth's natural resources and wildlife. Earlier this year DiCaprio and the foundation raised $38.8 million through donations and an art auction at Christie's in New York.
The tiger grant is the first from the proceeds of the auction, according to the WWF.

"Dig them out, bag them up, drop them off and give someone else the chance to buy them, raising much needed funds for the Red Cross aid effort. "
Shop assistant manager Fiona Liu said the Beckhams were packing 20 boxes of "almost new clothes" - but warned that Victoria's clothes might be too small for most people to wear.
The clothes will be displayed alongside the shop's other stock, with labels marking them as gifts from the ..... (article cut to save bandwidth)

The scene had involved "air mortars with dust, cork and debris" but not "explosions, fire or other pyrotechnics", he said.

Justin Bieber gets weekly mentoring from Hollywood star Will Smith, it has been revealed.
The Canadian singer, 19, said he didn't care about reports of his wild behaviour.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Will first helped the Baby singer during a tough period in his life when he returned from a world tour in May.
The actor drove to the singer's house and pulled him out of bed for a three-hour talk.
Justin's manager Scooter Braun, 32, told the publication that Justin was elated after Will popped over.
"He (Justin) said, 'Man, that makes me feel so loved. I woke up, and there's Will Smith, one of, if not the, biggest movie stars on the planet. He took time out of his day for me,'" Scooter said.
Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Justin and Will have weekly calls to go over any potential issues, emotional or otherwise.
There has been speculation that the Men In Black actor could be a scientologist, but the publication says that has never been discussed.
Will is also said to advise that Justin should be allowed to make his own mistakes, telling Scooter: "He's a young man who's growing up, and that's what makes him interesting and relatable. Otherwise, he'd be some kind of weird robot."
Justin told the magazine: "I know who I am and what I'm doing in my life and what I've accomplished and continue to accomplish as a performer, as a writer, as an artist, as a person, as a human being. I'm happy with the man I'm becoming."

Chris Brown has been ordered to spend three months in rehab after it was revealed he threw a rock through his mother's car window.
The Grammy winner tossed the rock through the window on November 10 after a joint counselling session with his mother, during which she suggested the singer remain in treatment.
Details of the incident were revealed in a letter submitted to the court by the rehab facility, which discharged him after the outburst.
The facility's name was not included in court filings.
The letter said: "Mr Brown proceeded to walk outside and pick up a rock and threw it through his mother's car window and it shattered."
The singer was discharged because he had signed a contract agreeing to refrain from violence while in treatment.
Superior Court Judge James Brandlin also added additional rules for Brown in the coming months, requiring him to perform at least 24 hours of community labour a week and to submit to drug testing.
Brown and his lawyer have agreed to the terms, which were suggested by probation officials who are overseeing Brown's sentence for his 2009 beating of then-girlfriend Rihanna.
The singer voluntarily checked into rehab for anger management treatment on October 29, just days after he was arrested in Washington DC, when a man accused Brown of punching him.
The incident and the resulting misdemeanour assault charge could still trigger a probation violation that could lead to more sanctions against Brown.
Brandlin ordered probation officials to collect more details on the Washington arrest and report back to him before a hearing on December 16.
A prosecutor did not call for Brown's probation to be revoked at Wednesday's hearing, but said she was awaiting more details.

Rylan Clark has said his career has taken off so much since he appeared on The X Factor that he can now dish out advice to Nicole Scherzinger.
The flamboyant singer found fame on the ITV singing contest last year and went on to win Celebrity Big Brother.
Rylan said: "She's (Nicole) always helped me and pointed me in the right direction whenever I've needed her, and I'll do the same to her.
"It's nice that a year on, I can sit here and say, 'I could give Nicole advice if she asked for it', because I know what she means now."
He said singing on The X Factor felt like a distant memory, adding: "What I've done over the last year is what most people do over five years, so I've been very lucky."
Rylan said that, despite wrongly being tipped as a contestant and potential winner on this year's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, the jungle show was "not top of my list of things to do".
The TV star, who is involved in TalkTalk TV's Shining Stars Campaign, hinted that he wasn't himself on The X Factor - but it served a purpose.
"A lot of people say, 'I used to hate you, and now I adore you', and I think that's because they've spent five minutes listening to me and realised I'm just a normal boy and not this crazy thing on The X Factor," he said.
"I was doing a job on The X Factor, and I did it well, because I'm sitting here a year later. People saw the real me on Celebrity Big Brother."
