There's no A-list stars in this sitcom. I guess there will be a lot of guest stars?

Yeah there will be guest stars in the sitcom and the main cast will be Stephen Au, Ngok Wah, Krystal Tin & Helen Ma. I wonder what this sitcom is about... :tricky:

Well it will be a good opportunity for non A class stars to 'shine'. If their roles are well written and if they do well, they may be more recognized!

As long as their acting is A class it's fine. Ngok Wah and Stephen Au's acting is definitely A class.

New TVB Sitcom Starring Krystal Tin & Stephen Au
Thursday January 27, 2011 Hong Kong

Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Although current TVB sitcom "Show Me the Happy" will air until April, a new sitcom is already planned.

The sitcom taking over "Show Me the Happy" will be <誰家灶頭無煙火> (rough translation: Whose Stove Doesn't Have Fire) starring Kristal Tin, Stephen Au, Ngok Wah Elly Leung, and Katy Kung. A costume fitting for this 120-episodes sitcom (tentative number of episodes) was held yesterday. Producer of the sitcom Tsui Yu On expressed he will add in more actors soon.

Leading the sitcom this time, Kristal will play a professional cook "cooking goddess." She joked the nickname was originally "beautiful cooking goddess," but the word "beautiful" was removed when she was assigned to the role.

"I'm actually beautiful wife cooking goddess," she said.

You also need a good script.

Official title for the upcoming sitcom drama is "Be Home for Dinner". It seems it sounds like the food and it's about cooking!

You're right, even A-list stars can't guarantee good script.

although there are no a list actors it doens't mean it will be bad. just look at 'show me the happy' --ratings slump and after watching the first ep i gavee up!
i'll be watching this one because it sounds more interesting and a fresh new cast!
How long before they use up all possible 'mainland' roles for oceanne zhu? I guess she'll be speaking mandarin in this one, unless she brushed up on her canto...

You mean 120 episode has come n gone in HK? Well, it's just into it's 3rd episode here in M'sia and i must say I am liking it so far. Mainly due to Jason Chan & Stephen Au. They have really great chemistry in their scenes together. I believe Jason can be one of the ones to watch if he can polish his verbal skills better (he already have the looks !!).

ahh yes, I had a marathon over the weekend and finished almost 20 episodes, not hard with 18 20 mins and 2 40 mins. :-)
I totally love this series, and I am going to miss it.. I love love love the stories revolving Kristin (Shum Pui Yee) and Stephen (Chung Kwok Tung) minus the Jessie stories.. ahhh there are times when I totally want to throw the remote to the TV when Jessie faked her affection to Ah Tung.. and he is dumb enough to accept her.. ahhh probably thats being a responsible stupid man lol.. love love the stores of SPY and her relationship with CKT.. i might just watched all over again, selective episodes with them in it.. :-) Also I kinda like Aunty Mary in there too.. very very kwel!!! A lot of posts mentioned Jason's improvement as an actor, and I agree , what annoyed me sometimes is his hand gesture whenever he talks, does not conicide with he was talking.. lol

I wasn't going to watch this series of Be Home For Dinner because they haven't got any popular actors & Actress in the cast list & Jason & his uncle looked very funny when they meet together.
